Jason
BJ, The quote you have at the bottom of your sig: "Bush has so far spent 319 days "on vacation" in Crawford. Bush makes $1,123 a DAY. So far, we've paid him $347,192 to clear brush at his fake ranch. Meanwhile, Marines dying in Iraq make $49 a day." Who said it? Question - when Bush goes "on vacation", isn't he still president? If Congress is in recess (which they usually are when he goes to his ranch) why does he need to be in D.C.?

However he has shown that when he is needed (Mr. President the Nation is under attack) that he does not become president for 7 minutes as his piss drys. 2. As for why he needs to be in D.C. , Why does he need to be in Crawford. I understand the whole clearing brush thing is part of his fake persona.... (he took this page from Reagen and the fake CowBoy Hat).... but there is no way that Crawford has all the amenities of a Whitehouse, and the close proximity to the real President - Cheney. Guest steggyD
I don't think his vacations are the kind of vacations the normal person experiences. He's not able to relax and forget about his job while "on vacation". Besides, it seems that every President spends a lot of time away from DC. The White House must suck. Wasn't Clinton always at Camp David?

Guest oldschooler
Funny how Bush could sign a $286.4 billion highway bill TODAY in Illinois while he is on vacation in Texas...
