|Montana Bengal|
Up until today I had McAfee running on my machine. Looks like I need to purchase something new (not excluding McAfee). Just wondering what everyone is running currently. I'm hoping to pick up something that isn't a resource hog.
|Elflocko|
I use Eset, and one of the primary reasons was because it is not a resource hog. That it works well is just a bonus...

My machine just gave me the okay for Windows 10 (the notebook came with windows 8).Edit: Are you using Eset anti-virus or the smart-security? |Elflocko|
Currently on Windows 7, though I'll probably make the jump to 10 sometime next week. I'm using the Antivirus as I don't need all of the bells and whistles. IT guy, remember?
|Montana Bengal|
I just didn't see the bonus to grabbing the smart-security. It installed FAST! I'll try the trial and if it works I'll probably go with a 2 year subscription.
|Elflocko|
I've been quite happy with it, from speed to updates. I had been using McAfee but it kept causing blue screens
Jamie_B
I've been using Symantec Endpoint Protection for my Win7 that i got for free when I still had access to the military's version of it. I'm likely gonna upgrade to Win10 in Dec when I am on vacation.
|Elflocko|
SEP is an excellent AV; too bad it's not available in the consumer channel, and Symantec's consumer products blow dicks. I went with Eset because my company went with Tren Micro...

|Elflocko|
What is this then?http://buy.symantec.com/estore/clp/productdetails/pk/endpoint-protectionInteresting, as previously it was only available to businesses. With it being Symantec, I wonder what's the catch...
|RayDoggBengal|
Using the built in windows antivirus windows defender. Been using it for years since back when it was called one care. It takes care of it's self and I don't worry about anything.

If it continues to score at least in the 95th percentile going forward I'll be able to recommend it.
