He should not make himself a target for harder than normal hits. Also gonna cause a Pittsburgh Stinker to respond with trash talk, which will keep escalating. No matter how you feel about it, one could easily say there was intent on Burfict as well. Its just far too subjective to play those games, FAR.I understand your point, but Mike Mithchell made his intent clear for nearly a week. He then targeted an essentially defenseless man's head. My point is this, just because burfict or any player for any team for that matter, may still do something on the field with the intent to cause more serious damage than normal, they just might not say it out loud. That's hard to decipher. To your point, if a player says something throughout the week to the media and then goes out on the field and it happens, it should be looked into it further. First, I do recognize he operates in the dark grey and black area.But hell, he made a clean tackle on their star player who got his season ended. That fan base and organization that has had numerous aggressive defenders over years and injure numerous players goes into complete bitch mode afterward. They go into complete bitch mode on clean hit on Ben from the 2nd game.Never is anything said about their TE blatantly going after his knee in the endzone. This is what pisses me off about the Bengals organization willing to be a punching bag and the former players in the media don't say shit about it. Boomer? Wilcots? Collinsworth, lol? Call these fuckers out at least on it not being one sided. We may not agree on much, but 100% this. Particularly the bolded. If the guys you named don't want to be seen to be biting the hand that feeds them, at least the local media could make a stink about it.
