Round 1 (24): Will Fuller, WR, Notre Dame
Round 2 (55): Jonathan Bullard, DT, Florida
Round 3 (87): De'Vondre Campbell, OLB, Minnesota
Round 4 (122): Miles Killebrew, S, Southern Utah
Round 5 (161): Ronald Blair, DE, Appalachian State
Round 6 (199): Graham Glasgow, C, Michigan
Round 7 (245): Juston Burris, CB, North Carolina State

Not a bad draft at all imo.  Though don't know much about Campbell from Minnesota, would rather have another LB (Joe Schobert) at that spot.

I don't know enough about him. Would he be a better option for us over someone like say, Shilique Calhoun?

No reason we couldn't take both.  Calhoun is a DE who will likely go in 2, and Campbell is an OLB likely to go in 4 or 5.  :)

I like that draft class well enough. Especially love Bullard in the 2nd and Glasgow in the 6th.

Where would you play Bullard? If he fits at all in a 4-3, it'd be as a base LDE who slides inside in the nickle. We already have a guy that can do those things well and another we drafted last year. He doesn't fit team needs very well, IMO, and there's no way I'd try to project him as a RDE then be stuck with that decision for the next 4+ years.

Maybe Hardison will fill that role, but he wasn't active for a single snap as a rookie and was a late 4th-rounder. Hopefully he's the answer, but I'm a little wary of counting on him since every single D Lineman over the last 5-10 years either made an instant impact or didn't amount to much. There have just been so many recently (Still, Hunt, Clarke, etc.) where there was hope they'd make a big leap in year 2 and it didn't materialize.

I'm basically interested in anyone who can get sacks and make plays in the backfield (whether it's a speed-rushing DE or a penetrating DT). Bullard had 6.5 sacks and 17.5 TFL last year, so I like him as a 2nd round option. Think he can help in base and be a potential difference-maker next to Geno on passing downs.

Ideally, I'd see Bullard as a replacement for DE/DT Gilberry (plus he posses a little of Geno's closing speed) and Hardison as a replacement for Hunt who I feel is expendable.  That's an upgrade at two DE spots imo.

I thought I read somewhere that Hardison was up to 310+, but I can't remember where I saw that and might be misremembering. I am thinking Hardison will be Geno's backup. Not too many 4-3 DEs that are 300+.

Agree on Hunt being expendable. In an ideal world, I'd love to see him replaced with a smaller pass rush specialist (a 4.60 40 type who can really bend the edge). Not many of those guys in this draft unfortunately. Maybe a project small-school pass rusher on Day 3? Or maybe they roll the dice on Spence if he falls all the way to 55? I've felt for a couple years now that a speed rusher would help take the defense to the next level.

That's really where I was going with this. I just don't see Bullard as the DE type we really need and would hate to get stuck with another Margus Hunt, Will Clarke type player who's basically cast out of their strongest position (LDE). Both those guys should be base ends, not RDEs, not that that's the only thing holding them back. Lack of talent also enters into the picture. Once we draft guys, we seldom cut them until their entire deal has run it's course and I'd hate to see yet another wasted pick like that pair.

I too wish like hell they'd add a speed guy on the right side and it just boggles my mind to think what Geno could be playing alongside such a guy that teams had to account for. With that said here's a couple of links I just found for the first time today on my favorite DE prospect in this draft, Noah Spence. I didn't realize Spence was dealing with a hamstring problem at the combine. That would explain his less than desirable, or what was expected, speed times that I couldn't figure out. Take note of the 2 videos within the 1st link too, as they are well worth watching!

Round 3 (87): De'Vondre Campbell, OLB, Minnesota
Round 4 (122): Miles Killebrew, S, Southern Utah
Round 6 (199): Graham Glasgow, C, Michigan

These 3 are on my Wish List, so I'd be fine with these picks. I'd prefer Coleman or Treadwell over Fuller though.
