Outlook Email

Here's the question - how do I check my @outlook.com email from my desk top?

Here's the background story - looking to drop TWC completely. I've had my @woh.rr.com email for 15 years, at least. Looking to go with Direct TV and AT&T internet. The last hurdle to clear is configuring a new email account. I have a little bit of experience with setting these up, the wife has the newest desktop in the house, came with Windows 8. I got her @woh.rr.com email working and an @outlook.com email working for her, probably a year or so ago.

Ideally, I'd like to get the mail from both email addresses with one configuration. I got it to work for the wife with her new computer. I don't have a clue how to get that to work with my seven year old desk top, (don't laugh, I counted how many shortcuts of Turbo Tax are installed.) Right now I use Windows Live Mail 2012 and Windows 10, thanks.

like most things, there are probably a dozen ways to accomplish this.

does the computer have outlook? if so you can just setup the account in there and work just like your wifes does on her computer.

if not, no big deal... here are a few options:

1. Windows 10 has a default mail client: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2488072,00.asp you can simply login with your outlook.com email username and password and use that.

2. buy office that includes outlook. you can spend $69-99 or do a monthly subscription for $9.99-14.99/mo keeping you up to date at all times(doesnt seem important for this scenario)

3. Download a free pop3 mail program: http://www.techradar.com/news/software/applications/windows-7-email-5-best-free-clients-903699 many options at this link. login with the outlook.com credentials and use it just like you would use outlook software.

4. just use it on the web, log into outlook.com and use webmail instead of an email client.

if any of the above requires further settings: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Add-your-Outlook-com-account-to-another-mail-app-73f3b178-0009-41ae-aab1-87b80fa94970

hopefully that helps some.
