Congratulations President Trump

So if Trump had won the popular vote by 302,340 votes (counting multiple votes, dead people, etc.) but had 51 fewer electoral votes than the other candidate, would you be raising the same argument for him?  Or even bring it up?

Because winning the electoral vote apparently means "America spoke" and want to get rid of bathrooms. Which I think is code for LGBT people, but i do not speak bigot fluently.

By that logic the popular vote is a better barometer.

The electoral vote is our nations process and I'm fine with it. You can argue about gerrymandering, but that is another discussion. With how close the contested states were,I'm not sure it matters

Donald Trump surrogate Omarosa Manigault said the President-elect's campaign is keeping a list of people who did not support his run to the White House.

"Let me just tell you, Mr. Trump has a long memory and we're keeping a list," Manigault, the campaign's director of African-American outreach, told the Independent Journal Review, an online news outlet started by two former GOP staffers aimed at a center-right audience.

It wasnt 750 below zero, there was a 750 point drop and only recovered 256 points.

I assume you know it was never down. The futures were down. Breifly. Its at all time historic highs.

I am sure you have some legit beefs but this one shouldn't be it.

Markets don't move on people they move on uncertainty

Saw some great photos of Klansmen celebrating the victory.  So there's that.

It will be interesting to see what Trump actually believes and to what extent he was pandering to various hate groups & the more-common "I'm not a racist but" type.

You don't get to choose who chimes in. You can condemn them or disavow them. Which he did repeatedly.

There have been others previously who have kept the company of and enjoyed the financial support of radical groups.

Selective outrage at best.

You don't think it's worth considering why they support him?  He can disavow them all he wants but if his policies appeal to them it's an issue.

Sure its worth considering. They loosely identify their beliefs to his platform to try and legitimize themselves. Its done on both side and I could go on forever with Clinton/Obama etc.

Trump's not perfect but he's not a racist or a white supremacist.

He's flawed like everyone. Just not this way.

Well I'm reading totally-not-racist-but Trump appointed Kris Kobach to his transition team.  Kobach has authored all sorts of unconstitutional legislation including Arizona's SB1070 law which had police require proof of citizenship from Latinos.  This was later struck down by the Supreme Court, obviously.

So if Trump's not really a racist he's doing a pretty convincing imitation of one.

Ok. You got me here. Does every politician (Trump isn't one BTW) own every policy, failed or otherwise,  of everyone of his subordinates or potential staff members?

If so, we have that group on the other side to bring up.

Not being familiar with the legsiation it would be good to know what the proof of citenzship would be reuired for (work, benfits voting roghts, drivers license tec.)?

I mean if Kobach's policies male Trump a racist there is some extreme transitive theory type examples coming everyone's way.

It's all good. though. Opinions on Trump are going to vary wildly

Now back to our crappy LB's

Trump is the President-elect of the US, he's a politician.  Not a career politician maybe but he's entered that arena.  When he appoints someone to his team, then yes he is responsible for that person.

No, no we do not.  This is about Trump, not Obama or Clinton or Warren fuckin' Harding.  We are talking about what Trump is doing, not what someone else did.  Quit trying to distract with this tu quoque "But Janie's Mom let's her stay up until midnight!" nonsense.

You are completely missing the point here.  It's not about whether they need an ID or have to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, it's about police demanding citizenship papers from someone because of their perceived race.  That's blatantly unconstitutional, and thankfully the Supreme Court agreed.

I would hope Trump would fully vet his people before appointing them, especially after the campaign.  I was hoping he was just pandering.  Especially after his people tried to quietly make the muslim ban dissapear from his site.

There is no distraction here. You have cast dispersions but haven't proven anything.

If proof of citizenship is required for something you can ask. I told you I want familiar with the instance so I couldn't speak to it directly.

I haven't missed anything.

Seeing it all actually. Four separate quotes worth.

Carry on.

I think that's what should most concern people, and that includes those who voted for him.   It's hard to say what he truly believes, and when you look at his "100 Days" plan it's pretty clear he doesn't have much of a grasp on what powers the President holds.

He has appointed someone to his team that authored a racist, unconstitutional law.  That is simple fact.

Hey look you made me read something beside sports scores this evening

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona_SB_1070

Ruled unconstitutional yes. Not unanimous though

Open to interpretation if actually racist on its face

Doesn't make Trump a racist

Still not sure if this would be my first step as President elect.

I'd say a law requiring law enforcement to treat Latinos as illegal immigrants is definitively racist, but OK. Sure, he's not burning a cross on the South Lawn yet but I would call this appointment troublesome.

there are children in michigan chanting "build a wall" as hispanic kids are sobbing and terrified.

there are kids in florida calling the black students cotton pickers and yelling heil hitler.

you fucking cowards.

what exactly about the guy who bankrupt a casino, and has office lined with gold makes you think conservative? is it his third trophy wife?

there is nothing behind supporting donald trump but bigotry. you look for wife in the wife, your daughter, your mother, and you voted for a man who states he grabs women by the pussy because he's famous, a man who says flat chested women cannot be a 10, that a woman with a career is "dangerous".

cowards.

a man who was sued by the justice department for discriminating against blacks renting his buildings... you supported this.

a man who started a "university" which was just a scheme to sell siminars to instead of teaching real estate practices. "praying on the elderly and uneducated to seperate them from their money"

you made this man the most powerful in the world.

you are disgusting. you are whats wrong with humanity, you are what is wrong with this country.

there is no hopeful thinking of policy, or changes, that could ever amount to the vile human being he is.

you just got fucking snake oil salesmaned into making a man who cares only about his own power and pockets into thinking he cares about your middle class ass.

are you ignorant enough to think he is going to raise taxes on himself to paying his fair share and lower yours? good one.

there is nothing you can say to defend this, this IS what you stand for, this IS what you voted for, and you fucking knew it when you did it. FUCKING COWARDS.

enjoy these:

- "I have a scarf on. Passed by someone on the platform today and he says, "Your time's up, girlie.""

Hillary Clinton's mentor and hero were Robert Byrd, former grand wizard of the KKK and Margaret Sanger who was a racist and eugenicist.

Everyone can debate whos racists and whatnot all they want

But the man said he would bring back waterboarding or worse

Did we learn nothing about the blowback that caused?

Are we so vengeful as a society that we have to handle our problems violently?
