FBI, 5 Other Agencies Probing Possible Kremlin Cash to Trump

The FBI and five other law-enforcement agencies have reportedly been working together for months on an investigation into whether the Russian government covertly sent money to aid President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign. “One of the allegations involves whether a system for routinely paying thousands of Russian-American pensioners may have been used to pay some email hackers in the United States or to supply money to intermediaries who would then pay the hackers, the two sources said,” McClatchy DC reported on Wednesday. According to sources who spoke with outlet, the FBI, the CIA, the National Security Agency, the Justice Department, the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, and representatives of the director of national intelligence are all involved in the extensive probe. The inter-agency inquiry reportedly began last spring, long before the top cops received information about a dossier, written by a British spy, alleging the Russian government had damaging information on Trump.

 

 

Doesn't he know that if you want to take money from foreign governments you need to set up a nonprofit "foundation" in your name with some vague agenda?

I got to believe even the people who handle him are not dumb enough to take Russian money. 

But then I kind of hope its true to so we can impeach him and put him in federal pound me in the ass prison.

This seems like an odd thing for the FBI & 5 other agencies to have been investigating for 6 months.  I don't like the guy either but this sure looks like a partisan witch hunt, & that's not what the FBI is supposed to be doing with their time. 

I mean if they were serious about prosecuting him why not go after his mob connections and the fuckery with his casinos and how they were licensed? That's something that actually happened.

To be fair they were investigating Hillary as well, so not so sure it is partisan.

But all of these people work for the President. Unsurprisingly, this appears to be the main reason for the leaks. The other thread of the story is that the Senate is also beginning to investigate this. Trump can't shut that down, though ultimately the Senate has to work through the intelligence agencies to probe these matters. It gets complicated.
