|Montana Bengal|
Just wondering about a pricing question. I have a 2008 Ford Escape V6. I think it has a rear seal leak and a. Timing cover gasket leak. The labor seems to be seperatly quoted in these (I was told they are in two totally different areas). Just wonder if that sounds correct or not. -GoBengals-
looking at the engine map that are in roughly the same area, however you probably cant get to both via the same avenue. however that wouldnt require double labor, but extra labor probably.. |westside bengal|
I am not a mechanic.....however if you have to remove the timing cover it might be worth it to replace the chain/belt while they are there. I do not think the parts are all that much and you wont have to pay labor again.

Taxes done...just waiting on a quote for the backyard to see what we can do. It may sit for a little while.
|westside bengal|
They don't usually break but after a while they can stretch and eventually cause issues. But yes chains do usually last a very long time. The point i was trying to make is that usually if you have to take the timing cover off you are right there and check things out. Most auto jobs like that seem to be much more labor than parts.
