Trump Investigations

I see Herr Trump is throwing around the "treason/traitor" stuff now.

Again I expect this will all come to a head sometime around the primaries a year from now.

I will also predict some kind of retaliatory terrorist attack by disgruntled Trump fanatics.  A false flag attack that opens the door to another "national emergency" that keeps him in power is definitely in the playbook, not ruling that out either.

Mark my words - Barr is in there to quash this thing. We'll never see nor hear jack from this report unless someone goes rogue.

If he does I would bet money that Democrats open a House Investigation and bring Muller in front of all the cameras in the world.

I don't.  I think they're going to let this all go so long as Trump is out in 2020.  They don't really give a shit otherwise, they're mostly owned by various private interests themselves so they really don't want to make a bunch of noise about who is or is not compromised.

Don't expect a bunch of corrupt soulless motherfuckers to investigate corruption that hard.

Maybe not....

It'll be interesting if this ends up leading to investigations into how he was able to consistently bankrupt businesses while somehow making money, his NJ casinos & how they were licensed, & how this all relates to his connections with organized crime both here & internationally.

This.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez laid out a case to get his tax returns to find out.

I think the full extent of his corruption isn't going to be revealed by any government investigation.  He'd resign before it got to that point.  The gov't stuff is just to keep him from running for reelection and maybe prevent more of the same.

I expect it will be more investigative journalism after the fact, but shit.. the likelihood of his money laundering was apparent even before the election & people just don't care.

I hope whomever gets elected next doesn't pardon. The guy needs to be in jail.

A nice thought but I wouldn't count on it.  The people currently tasked with putting him there have too much dirt of their own to hide.  Look at this Maria Butina case and the relative non-reaction from the public.  The apathy and corruption go hand in hand.  I'm more interested in preventing this in the future than punishing Trump & realistically I suspect that's the best we can hope for, too.
