Russian spy convicted of funneling money to his campaign, half his cabinet & his lawyers convicted of perjury & various other crimes, charges pending in his home state, constant brazen violations of the emoluments clause & other gross abuses of the office, inciting racist violence, appointing various campaign donors to public office despite a complete lack of credentials, repeated violations of national security while acting like a Russian puppet..   Nothing.

Appointed DNC front-runner career politician threatened with exposure:  IMPEACH NOW!!!

Pelosi needs to be run out right along with him.  I mean.. I'll take Biden over this unhinged bigot shitbag 11 times out of 10 but I'm convinced every other candidate is just a lesser shitbag.  Yes that includes Bernie and Warren, you don't get where they are with clean hands.

This is the Whistle Blower report on this Ukriane Trump thing

https://intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/20190812_-_whistleblower_complaint_unclass.pdf?fbclid=IwAR0Cm78Nu0DqgQAvP0fFwPtsERPh5QOID6sS474q9lwHic-kvl4l1GJphuM

My 3 big thoughts after reading this

1. He knows alot but doesn't have direct knowledge of a number of things, just alot of concerns from officials in the White House. .... That will likely be some fighting ground stuff and may open the current investigations to bring white house staff in to testify in order to corroborate.

2. The use of the covert systems for what otherwise would have been routine phone calls, isn't just inappropriate, it's a sign that they knew the contents of the phone calls was damning and they wanted to make it difficult to make them public. And it wasn't a one time thing.

3. Giuliani is fucked.

It's completely ridiculous.   The guy has been laundering money for international organized crime for decades.  There's no way his finances would stand up to even the most cursory forensic accounting - NY already has charges waiting to be filed.  He very plainly bribed his way into a license from NJ to create his Atlantic City casino.  Every bankruptcy was just another money laundering scheme.  He was close friends with a child sex trafficker.  He has made repeated violations of national security while in office, burning CIA assets & posting classified satellite photos on Twitter like the overgrown spoiled brat that he is.  He's been staying at his own hotels to funnel public funds into his coffers.

All this = not enough to impeach for Pelosi.

Then he did something that maybe, possibly threatens the annointed Democratic presidential candidate and its RED ALERT IMPEACH NOW!!  Never mind that the primaries haven't even started.  The DNC have clearly made their choice and are just waiting for the Representative Democracy Roadshow to finish so they can make it official.

It's an absolute fucking farce.  They're going to "investigate" whether to impeach, meaning grandstand for a few weeks, then do jack fucking shit about it & hope there's a Democratic senate in 2020 if he's re-elected.  By any real standard of law or justice the child-fucking piece of shit should be dragged out of the Oval Office in handcuffs on any of a dozen different charges & probably hung for treason, but nobody in DC wants to poison their feeding trough by actually taking any kind of real action.

"Impeachment Inquiry"? Are we fucking serious with this nonsense? It's like investigating Pol Pot for unpaid parking tickets.

I think the goal is to get the thickest shit of impeachment going at the most inopportune time for Trump during the re-election race, which is why she has been dragging her feet.

But this is an honest question - I see the point of talking about impeachment for all the stuff that has been brought to light - and I understand the argument that even if you know it's going absolutely nowhere, you want to get all this on record.

But does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? For example, a co-worker who 'read' what was released as a transcript of the call to Ukraine, and the whistle blower complaint, and his response was 'there's nothing in here. There is nothing incriminating or illegal'. I mean, it could say "Trump: "I need you guys to give me some dirt, real or not, on Biden, or I will not give you for funding" and they would say the same shit - supporters, Lindsey Graham, Moscow Mitch - all of them.

Yeah it's been made painfully obvious that most people have no idea what the President is legally allowed to do or say.  I see it as a symptom of a recent epidemic of boot-licking authoritarianism that will excuse just about anything so long as its from a person in power that they identify with (ie old white guy).  These same people wanted to put Clinton in prison for improper use of an email server.  It's not about whether Trump did something wrong, it's about being Team Red & doubling down on a bad idea just because it was *their* idea.  They don't actually give a shit what he did or does.   Same thing goes for the Republican party right now.  The man has been tied to a child sex trafficker and they still support him (likely because many of them have the same sickness.)

Trump could disappear tomorrow in a cloud of sulfurous smoke but it wouldn't change the fact that there is something truly rotten at the core of our democracy.  I'm having a hard time convincing myself that he's not the beginning of the death throes of our Grand Experiment.
