jhowdy54
https://youtu.be/vTG5MftW4ZU At the 15 second mark the Stealers TE makes the catch at the 3 yard line. Bengals make contact before 2nd foot gets down. As the Stealers TE is going to the ground he lunges for the end zone. He looses control of the ball as he hits the ground. Nearly identical plays as the Eifert vs Ravens catch. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
Jason
Because in this play the stealer came away from the defender with possession of the ball, took steps, crossed the goal line, and then lost possession after crossing the goal line. The play with Eifert, if I remember correctly, he was engaged with the defender throughout the course of trying to secure the ball and did not come away from the defender with the ball. Or because one is a stealer, and the other is a Bengal. ?

|kennethmw|
Because not one single ref in the league has the same definition of what a catch is!

It seems to vary from game to game and referee crew to referee crew.
