How do things look for you and yours with the approach of Irma la Douche? I am back in Ohio now. My wife just left an hour ago from the Orlando airport and is between Florida and Ohio coming home. I am watching the weather on our outdoor camera. The house is okay now, but it’s a waiting game. Hurricane Jose is on his way, too. Here is a current view of the weather from our front yard. The neighbor across the street keeps finding snakes in his home. He found this one in his kitchen during the night. He cut his head off. That’s the third one. I wonder if they know bad weather is coming, and they want to find a warm, dry place to hide? Our cat, Tiger, doesn’t seem worried.
T-Dub
Poor snek. Looks like a scarlet, they're not venomous. Probably would've done the same if I found it in my kitchen, though.
Rick
I found one on our front porch. I let him go.
Le Tigre
I have relatives in Palm Beach County who are hearing dIsrupted alligators may also be a problem from this, Rick. They are 10 miles inland, have hurricane windows and shutters, and a generator. Other than those on the coast, people around there are going to ride it out. Glad you and the missus will be safe here in good old boring weather Ohio.

|High School Harry|
The poster, Cat, lives in Houston. Met him at a tailgate up here once, great guy and Bengal fan. Haven't seen him on here for awhile and sent an IM. He's OK down there. Not sure if any others on the board are in the area. Thank God are all OK at least physically. Hope The Villages are bypassed for Rick and all's sake. I have heard some stories about sexy seniors down there.

Cat
I'm here - thanks Harry for checking on me. I thought Actium had moved away from Houston - but I'm not sure?

I am embarrassed to admit that is true. The ratio of women to men is about 10:1. I have seen and hear many, many times of women fighting over single and married men. Arnold Palmer CC is a place you don’t want to be if you are a single or even a married guy. The women will come after you even with your wife with you! There are over 60,000 golf carts in TV. At night, there are numerous drunk drivers of both sexes driving their golf carts on both golf cart streets and regular streets, too, going to the public parties. I am embarrassed to say, there are really nightly parties, every day of the week, 365 days, including all holidays. Our 3 town squares, Spanish Springs, Lake Sumter Landing, and Brownwood offer free dance bands 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It is not uncommon for 65 year old guys with 30 year old women, too. Women from the central Florida area flock to TV. The outdoor restaurants/bars are almost an embarrassment to me. Yes, you are quite correct. IT IS WALT DISNEY WORLD ON STEROIDS FOR ADULTS!!! |westside bengal|
I read a few years ago The Villages had one of the fastest growing rates of STD's in the USA. I have no idea if that was true or not.
HOF dan
Haha - who knew? You could probably make a fortune from street sales of viagra there. Not that anyone would do that - just sayin.
