jhowdy54
Pickings are pretty slim but Bengals will need to add one. Lardarius Webb 31 Years old. Knows the division well obviously. Might be our best option for a stop gap Jairus Byrd age 30 - Just 2 years removed from being arguably the best safety in the NFL. Talent is obviously there. Ifeanyi Ohalete Knows the system. HavePityPlease
You all know it's going to be Chris Crocker... acceptance is the first step toward recovery.
Le Tigre
They will need more of FS type--although allegedly all Bengal safeties are supposed to play SS and FS equally. The only guy who sort of fits that mold is Josh Shaw, and he completely blows at safety in general.
T-Dub
I didn't see the play but did his whole arm come off or what? We're still 3 weeks out from playing one that counts. If he's only going to miss 1-2 games we don't need to do anything drastic.
fredtoast
We missed out on Corey Graham.

Elbow went completely the wrong direction as he braced himself coming down.
Le Tigre
Geoff saying out 4-6 weeks...but with the usual qualifier "pending MRI".

They've said that, but AFAIK we still generally have a rangier guy that tends to line up deep & a slightly bigger dude prowling closer to the LOS who spends more time blitzing & playing the run. Just like, AFAIK, every other NFL team. We've all seen how hard it is to find a physical safety than can cover a TE, so a little help there might be nice even if Williams is due back sooner rather than later. Jason
Iloka, Shaw, Clayton F and Derron Smith will manage.
Le Tigre
Josh Shaw is no safety...and really no corner either. I always have wondered what people see in him.

TimKrumrieFan
Safety is probably our deepest position. Williams should miss very little time based on the twitter docs who are like 95% accurate. Even if Williams was going to miss a couple months we have 4 safeties the team likes a lot and a 5th in Cox who seems to be impressing the coaches a lot. Actually, based on last year we are not deep at safety at all. Fejedelem and Derron Smith never saw the field except for injury situations and Shaw actually moved to safety and played in front of both of them.
