Calling him a winner is laughable???? really????  2 National Championships  and he really did win us our first playoff game for the first time in like 25 years however we all know how the idiots fucked that up......   Your devotion to licking Daltons balls is what is laughable.

Yes,  Laughable.

You are trying to count college wins and NFL games that we did not win.  That makes your claim 100% laughable.  In the real world McCarron is 2-3 as an NFL starter and his two wins are against 5-11 teams.

In the loss that you claim he "won" McCarron had 3 fumbles, an interception, and averaged 5.2 yards per attempt (41 for 212).  Both of his TD drives occurred when the defense gave him the ball in Stealer territory, and on the first one 42 of the 46 yards in the drive was gained by penalties on Pittsburgh. If you think a QB can win a bunch of games playing like that you are delusional.

I don't have a clue what the hell you Mccarron guys are talking about.

In 2015 we saw Dalton and McCarron playing behind the same line throwing to the same defenders.  Here are the results.

Andy Dalton......250.0 passing yards per game. 106.2 passer rating, 10-3 record including wins over 3 playoff teams (KC, Pitt, Sea)

McCarron.......191.0 passing yards per start (208.8 if you count the first Pitt game where he came in the first quarter). 89.7 passer rating, 2-3 record with with zero wins against any team that won more than 5 games that year.

And the McCarron losing record as an NFL starter is a joke.  He had to come off the bench after getting almost zero touches the entire season to fill in for Thumbalina. In the 3 games he started he had an 89.7 rating and almost took down the eventual Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos on the road on Monday Night.   Dalton had already started 70+ games in his career, McCarron ZERO.   Hue Jackson was NOT going to give AJ McCarron full use of the playbook, its ridiculous that you think we are that stupid.

Monday Night at Denver (the eventual Superbowl champs) in his 2nd career start 16 degrees 7 degree wind chill on grass:  22-35 200 yards, 1 TD 21 yards rushing.   Lost in overtime.

Andy's Monday Night at Houston 6 weeks earlier in his 73rd career start, 53 degrees on field turf:  22-38 197 0TD, 1int  6 total points and 0 in the second half of course.

Dalton melts under pressure in big games.

In the Bronco game McCarron only had 200 passing yards on 35 attempts (lame 5.7 avg) and lost the game when he fumble in overtime.

And in the 13 games Dalton started with the same offense he had a 106.4 passer rating and beat (not "almost") 3 playoff teams.

That post is so beautiful.

Thank you!!!! Finally someone with some fucking sense around here.

If Dalton were in that game against Denver it wouldn't of even been a close game. Same with the Pittsburgh wild card game.

However according to FredturdToast we cannot give McScooter any credit.

Dalton's average completion was a whopping 2 yards further down field than McCarrons therefore Dalton is by far the superior QB.

Dalton had one touchdown in 4 playoff starts.......lol that is laughable.

Bengals vs Stealers: AJ McCarron impresses with fourth quarter performance

The conclusion of Cincinnati's loss to the Pittsburgh Stealers is justifiably taking center stage on Sunday. However, what shouldn't be lost is AJ McCarron's performance during Cincinnati's fourth quarter comeback.

  • Buried under the unrelenting controversy from the conclusion of Saturday's game is the impressive fourth quarter performance of backup quarterback AJ McCarron. In only his fourth career start, his first in the postseason. McCarron helped engineer a fourth quarter comeback, transitioning a 15-point deficit into a one-point lead with 16 fourth quarter points. During that final period, McCarron completed nine of 15 passes for 98 yards passing, a touchdown and a 101.5 passer rating.

More impressive was the intense pressure the second-year quarterback faced on multiple occasions during the game's final period. There's the arching throw between two defenders where tight end Tyler Eifert made a diving reception, converting a third-and-nine scenario into a first down. Mike Nugent slammed a 36-yard field goal six plays later, reducing Pittsburgh's lead from eight points to five.

However, the following touchdown drive staged the most impressive moments for the young quarterback.

  •

Cincinnati, down 15-10, had fourth down from the Stealers' 31-yard line with 2:46 remaining in the game. Failure to secure a first down would likely mean another postseason loss. At the very least, Pittsburgh could wipe out significant time from the clock, and based on Cincinnati's lack of big-yardage plays on Saturday, a win would be imperceptible if the Bengals were unable to convert.

    They needed two yards.

    They got nine.

After taking the shotgun snap and feeling the weight of an unblocked blitzer, McCarron flipped the football to an uncovered Marvin Jones, who picked up nine yards to get to the Stealers' 28-yard line.

    Big time.

Following a scramble and incomplete to Mohamed Sanu(who sat on a dig route while McCarron expected his receiver to continue), the Bengals had third down from the Stealers' 25-yard line with 1:56 remaining in the game.

McCarron pump faked right and targeted the front left pylon, where A.J. Green concluded his fade. Green hauled in the football at the Stealers' two-yard line, ducked under the head-hunting Mike Mitchell, and easily scored the go-ahead touchdown, giving Cincinnati a 16-15 lead with 1:50 remaining on the clock.

Despite an awful call on the two-point conversion, Cincinnati's defense immediately handed the ball back the offense with Vontaze Burfict's interception of Landry Jones. Unfortunately, Jeremy Hill's fumble and 30 yards of conduct penalties gave Pittsburgh the eventual win after Chris Boswell's 35-yard chip shot field goal.

Regardless, McCarron's fourth quarter performance shouldn't be forgotten in this mud.

Yeah but according to Fred, a QB coming off the bench and starting his first game should be just as good as a guy who had started 76 games.  Again, I don't think he is any better, I am just done with 6 years of this.  Dalton did nothing last year or these first two games to make me think he can take us deep in the playoffs.

Dalton should start Sunday but time is running out. Watching Stafford play Monday there was no similarities between the two. Stafford runs the offense, Dalton is an order taker.

You mean like the time just the prior year when Andy threw 2 TDs and led the team to actually beat the Denver Broncos in a game where Dane fucking Sanzenbacher played as many snaps as a hobbled A.J. Green and Andy's most reliable target that day was Jermaine Gresham?

Yeah we wouldn't have had a chance with Andy in there against a team like that if he had a healthy A.J. Green and Marvin Jones to throw to.

FredturdToast. What about that Colts wildcard game??? Lol that really proved Dalton is better right?

If you want to play this game I can find a Mark Sanchez playoff game that is better than a bad Tom Brady game.

This is silly.  Lookt at EVERY game.  Look at the totals.  Look at what Dalton and McCarron did playing behind the same line with the same receivers.

Dalton has outperformed McCarron in every way.
