I'd offer him a one-year, journeyman deal with benchmarks that would pay him elite-level money if he stays/produces on the field. Anything more than that - let him walk. Kroft is solid, Uzomah still shows promise, Hewitt is great at H-Back & Carter is more than serviceable for a UDFA. 1st/2nd string TE's are the very definition of Fungible. This ... ☝🏽... However, I think he should give serious thought to retiring, quitting while he is ahead meaning not paralyzed for the rest of his life. He is going to be in a world of hurt when he gets older.
