2018 Reds Season Thread

Featured Replies

Wait, Opening Day is a Thursday this year??????

I have paid precisely zero attention to the Reds or spring training.   Any reason to think they'll be over .500 this year?

I have had zero enthusiasm for this team since the fire sale.

If they win 70 games I'll be surprised.

I had no idea that Larkin wanted to be the manager.

Fucking get on that.

A. Make it happen.
B. Hope it turns out better than the Tony Perez experiment did...

Supposedly the Larkin as manager is targeting next season. He has worked wa lot of the young players and it’s a mutual thing between them and Larkin to lead that team.

According to Sportsbook.ag - your over/under season win total is 74.

I got to watch 2 batters on the Reds network, then the blackout kicked in, the Nats are my "home team".  Ugh.

Scoop it Joey, come on.

Well this puts a little more excitement in my interest of the Reds again.

I'd be surprised if Price makes it to August.

They hired John Farrell, who won a World Series with the Red Sox, as a scout.

And Barry Larkin is publicly applying for the Manager's job. And he's already on the Red's payroll.

Nice! Only 3 games out of first. We are still in the thick of things.

Glad to see we've reconciled ourselves to the fact that running really freaking fast does not in itself make one a good lead-off hitter.  Maybe if the guy could get a bunt down...   Still a pretty damn good CF though so I'm not mad.

1-4. 3 and a half games back and in last place already.

Nowhere to go but up!

Or farther down ...

Well , better than teasing us with a fast start only to fall off the cliff right before the all Star break I suppose.
