He is talking about the 2022 AFC Championship of course.  Now it would be comedic gold if both Baltimore and Pissburgh lost this weekend and we won.

The league office would have an emergency meeting to "rectify" the situation.

As of this very moment, not only are the Browns in 2nd place (winning the division record tiebreak over Baltimore) but they're sitting in the #6 playoff spot.

AFC:
1-JAX (2-0)
2-MIA (2-0)
3-CIN (2-0)
4-DEN (2-0)
5 KCC (2-0)
6 CLE (1-1-1)

NFC:
1-LAR (2-0)
2-TBB (2-0)
3-GBP (1-0-1)
4-PHI (1-1)
5-MIN (1-0-1)
6-CHI (1-1)

Tiebreakers:
MIA JAX and CIN are alone at 2-0 in their divisions.  DEN and KCC are tied at 2-0 in the AFC West, the Broncos win based on best net combined offensive/defensive scoring ranking in the AFC.  Denver's offense is 8th, their defense is 6th, giving them a combined rank of 14.  Kansas City's offense is 1st, their defense is 15th, giving them a combined rank of 16.  Denver's 14 is better.

For the division leaders, their tiebreak ALSO goes to net combined scoring ranking.  Denver is 14, Cincinnati is 12 (3rd + 9th), while Miami (8th + 1st = 9) and Jacksonville (7th + 2nd = 9) tie.  Denver gets the #4 seed, Cincinnati the #3.  MIA/JAX go to the next tiebreak step, combined scoring ranking league-wide.  MIA (13th + 4th) ties JAX (12th + 5th) at 17.  The next tiebreak step is best Net Points, JAX at +16 is one point ahead of MIA at +15, so JAX gets the #1 overall seed.

KCC is the only wildcard team at 2-0, they're #5.  Six teams are at 0.500 for the final seed: NEP, CLE, BAL, TEN, IND and LAC.  All are 1-1 (except CLE, who is 1-1-1).  Division tiebreakers are applied first to CLE v BAL and TEN v IND.  CLE eliminates BAL based on better division record (0-0-1 v 0-1), while IND eliminates TEN based on better record vs common opponents (1-0 v 1-1).  Leaving us with 4 teams.  CLE ends up beating out the other three basedon a superior conference record: CLE (1-0-1), NEP/LAC (1-1), IND (0-1).  CLE are the #6 seed.

In the NFC, LAR and TBB are alone at 2-0 in their divisions.  LAR are the #1 seed based on scoring ranking (2nd + 1st =3) while TBB are #2 (1st + 14th = 15).  DAL, WAS and PHI tie in the East at 1-1.  WAS are eliminated based on worse record vs common opponents (0-1) than the other two (1-1), and PHI edges out DAL for 1st based on scoring ranking (12nd+4th=16 vs 14th+3rd=17).  GBP wins the tiebreak over MIN for the North based on division record (1-0-1 vs 0-0-1).  GBP gets the #3 seed over PHI based on overall record.

MIN are the only 1-0-1 wildcard team.  Like in the AFC, there are 6 NFC teams at 0.500 tied for the final wildcard.  DAL, CHI, ATL, CAR, NOS and SFF.  The 3 NFC south teams have to have division tiebreaks applied first... ATL wins based on better division record (1-0) than the other two (0-1).  Of the 4 teams left, we have to go (again) to combined scoring ranking.  CHI wins (6th+7th=13) over DAL (14th+3rd=17), ATL (9th+8th=17) and SFF (7th+10th=17).  CHI is the #6 seed.

Playoffs would be:

WILDCARD:
CLE (1-1-1) at CIN (2-0)
KCC (2-0) at DEN (2-0)
CHI (1-1) at GBP (1-0-1)
MIN (1-0-1) at PHI (1-1)

DIVISION:
CLE or KCC/DEN at JAX (2-0)
CIN or KCC/DEN at MIA (2-0)
CHI or MIN/PHI at LAR (2-0)
GBP or MIN/PHI at TBB (2-0)

Browns official reveals what happened to the ‘rally possum’

Videos of the capture have been viewed online millions of times.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Many are crediting a “rally possum” for the Cleveland Browns victory Thursday night.

The animal was seen roaming the stands at FirstEnergy Stadium until it was snatched by the tail by a fearless Browns fan and stuffed into a cardboard box.

Videos of the capture have been viewed online millions of times.

The video left many asking what happened to the animal.

According to Browns communication department, the possum was “humanely released outside” of the stadium.

Is it a coincidence that the possum’s appearance occurred on the same night the Browns snapped a 635-day winless streak? Perhaps the Browns should allow a possum in the stadium more often.

Rally Possum T-shirts are available
