I totally agree with this BTW, Dalton is not why we have lost 4 of the last 5.   Driskell is NOT the solution.  My point is that Dalton is an average QB, nothing more.  Average QBs usually find post season success only if they have a exceptional defense that can flip the field. We have nothing close to that.

I dont disagree that Dalton is avg, but I would also suggest our record would be worse if it wasnt for him.

As the Chairman of Team Eeyore and junior member of the He Man Dalton Haters club I disagree. The problem with Dalton is he doesn’t suck. He is the worst thing you can have on an NFL team in 2018, he is a guy who can win you some games.

He is a mediocre middle of the pack QB.  He is a healthy Ryan Tannahill. A Case Keemun clone. A poor man’s Matthew Stafford.

He is the ultimate “Well If” QB. Well if you surround him with enough talent, he can get us to the playoffs. Well if the defense plays lights out, Dalton can get us enough points to win.

The fact that that when he steps on the field, the first thought in everyone’s mind is which Andy will we see today is telling. Having a nickname, “Primetime Dalton” is bad.

Every January, when the coaches and FO go through the roster and make decisions the question is probably asked “Can we win with Dalton?”  That shouldn’t be a question that needs to be asked.  He is serviceable QB who won’t hurt you. A younger Alex Smith.

Alex Smith  Case Keemun  and Tannahill????  right bottom of the focking barrel brah.   Those guys suck donkey dick too brah just like Dalton.  Yeah their really racking up the wins in Miami Denver and Washington with those serviceable QBs ay?  Those are most certainly the type of QBs that could beat great teams like the Ravens steeelers twice a year ay?

Serviceable?  you mean standing in the pocket like a tree and taking sacks on 2nd and 3rd downs?

The Dalton hate to the point that anyone is suggesting Driskle is embarrassing.

Lets be real here a few of the games early in the season were because Dalton was the one to bring us back.

There are alot of other issues on this team that have nothing to do with Andy Dalton.

Fucking Driskle ......

Its not hate at all. Its reality.  Dalton has no fight.  He stands steal in the pocket, takes a sack and walks of the field with a big ass grin on his face.  Some of us Bungle fans are sick of that chit.  We want someone who is going to get pissed off and come out and play their ass off every snap. Someone with some gawd dam fire in their belly. Someone who wants to win more than anything.

Dalton is like a little purse dog when we need a gosh a dam bad ass police trained k9.

Washington 6-4 before Smith hurt

Miami 3-2 before Tannehill hurt

Denver 5-5 with Case Keemun.

They are NOT bottom of the barrel, they are the Average  Joe game managers who win enough to give their fans a faint glimmer of hope.

Blake Bortles is bottom of the barrel.

When the guy who should be in the HOF was playing, people said he was average and Turk Fucking Schonert should take over. When Norman was playing, people would complain he was average, and wanted Erik Fucking Wilhelm to take over.

There is always somebody better, according to John Q Fan.

This.  Look at the top 5 basketball players in the world. Top 5 tennis players in the world. Top 5 soccer players. The 15th best player in any of these sports is not nearly as good as LeBron, Roger Federer or Cristano Renaldo.  The 50th isn’t even close. Andy is probably the 15th best QB in the world.  Driskel hasn’t even played and there is a reason for that.

So since the 15th ranked player in the NBA is not nearly as good as Lebron (I disagree but oh well) it is ok that this team has settled for Dalton being average for almost a decade.  Great to know

As you sit here and say Dalton doesn't have the talent around him etc,  Bress is throwing 4 TD passes to 4 different undrafted players in one game.

This Bengals offense is loaded and currently held down by a QB who cannot score more than 3 touchdowns a game. Not enough to win any games in today's NFL.

Lets not forget that at least two of the wins thus far this season are thanks to the Defense and would have been losses that Dalton didn't do chit in.

Anyway man, I hope I'm not coming off as rude or disrespectful. Just debating ya. Ive been reading your posts on here for years and have mad respect.  Happy Thanksgiving

..annnnd it's another fuckin' Dalton thread.

If you think Dalton has been the problem this season I don't WTF you've been watching.  Average is pretty damned good on this roster.  I guess it's reassuring to think changing just one player with any random schlep is going to make the difference.  It isn't.

"Waiter, there's a fly  in my steaming bucket of rat shit!  Send it back!"

I saw Andy live, in person and in real life Wednesday evening.

I went to the casino for a comp buffet (free is my favorite player)

and he was there doing a radio show with Rocky Boreman and one of the

other generic and interchangeable blah blah blah guys.

He's there every Thursday evening doing the show if you want to flip him off in person.

I actually like Andy.

The Bengals could do a lot worse and Andy could do a lot better if with a

better run *coughMarvinSucks* team with better personnel, specifically a competent

offensive line even more specifically, more competent right side of an offensive line.

4th and 1 in a game where they are down but it is still winnable.

Call time out to discuss the play, get the right people in there.

Come to the line, looks good, all systems go...

and dumpster dive free agent Bobby Hart jumps before the snap.

Punt.

Classic Marvin ball.

I would refer you to several games this season where it was Dalton who brought us back to win the game.

Say it out loud. If it weren't for Andy Dalton this season's record would be much worse.

Over his career he has 20 4th quarter comebacks, and 24 winning drives

In 2018 we've had 4 comebacks. The Colts, The Falcons, The Dolphins, and The Bucs

The Colts, and Falcons was all Andy, The Dophins was Bullock and the D, the Bucs was Bullock.

So we would be 3-5 if not for Andy.

No we'd be 8-2 or 9-1 if not for Andy.

Do you even watch these games?

We have the last place ranked 2ndary.

No other team in the history of the NFL (super bowl era) has given up 500 yards in 3 straight games.

Andy Dalton didn't do that.

Look I don't think Dalton is a world beater by any means, but your posts are embarrassing.

yeah dude I've watched all the games.  The best defense is a great offense. Dalton is the three and out king. I don't care if you put the 85 Bears out there with the old time rules. Their gon get worn out just as fast and look just as bad because they get zero help from the other side of the ball.

How many times this season already has the defense fought tooth and nail to bend but not break only to have to watch Dalton come out throw a couple chitty passes. Stand like a tree and take a sack. Then they have to come right back out.  That will kill every defense to the soul.

No, the best Defense is a good Defense.

Whats his playoff QBR?
