Guest oldschooler
I made a post about this site in another thread the other day but it got deleted. I think this deserves it`s own thread anyway. A few people on here want to talk about U.S. soldeirs killing Iraqi civilians. But like I have said before...The U.S. isn`t carpet bombing there anymore and they haven`t since before the elections. The Insurgents are the one`s doing most of the killing there now. And have been for a long time. The U.S. is just trying to stop attacks on civilians by the Insurgents, they are training Iraqi forces and police and rebuilding Iraq`s infrastruture. And from what this site says it supports my claims. It is by no means a "Pro U.S." site. It says that 24,865 civilians were reported killed from 2003 til 2005. US-led forces killed 37% of civilian victims. That would be 9,200 civilians total killed by U.S. forces. It also says that 30% of civilian deaths occurred during the invasion phase before 1 May 2003. That would be 7,459 Iraqi civillians killed by U.S. forces before May 1st 2003. So since May 1st 2003 (16 months) 1,741 civilians have been killed by U.S. led forces. It also says that Post-invasion criminal violence accounted for 36% of all civilian deaths. And Anti-occupation forces/insurgents killed 9% of civilian victims. That would be a total of 10,861 Iraqi civilians killed by criminal viloence and Insurgents...all since May 1st 2003. So the U.S. forces have accidently killed 9200 civilians. And the insurgents/criminals/terrorist have killed 10,861 Iraqi civilians on PURPOSE. It`s over 6-1 ratio for civilians killed by U.S. forces to civilians killed by Insurgents since May 1st 2003 . Since May 1st 2003 U.S. forces 1,741 ...Insurgents/terrorist 10,861. And it also says that Killings by anti-occupation forces, crime and unknown agents have shown a steady rise over the entire period. Who provided the information? Mortuary officials and medics were the most frequently cited witnesses. Three press agencies provided over one third of the reports used. Iraqi journalists are increasingly central to the reporting work. Here is the link to the info I just provided.
