WEEK 2: 49ERS @ BENGALS

Recommended Posts

Some observations from Section 104:

It was hotter than I thought it would be.

i called the attendance at "a bit under 50K"

The SF "fans" were not traveling types--unless coming from Piqua is akin to coming from Redlands or Vallejo.

Every damn beer vendor had nothing but Buud Lyyte.

Marissa Contipelli was 5 feet away from me for one of her stadium spots. She looks bigger on TV. Cute as a button though.

WJIII's mom and family were right in front of us. Wonderful people.

From field level, the line is even worse to view than on TV--I have never seen this level of ineptness.

The 2 LB package was exposed as the rank failure it is: Vigil/Brown went to correct spots..SF just went where they weren't.

Gaping seas of open field for them to run in..every Bengal either way up, or way back.

Saw Taylor clapping in the 4th Quarter...

Number 1 Fan never seems to age...but then again, he's always looked old anyway.

The paid orange-shirt Who Dey greeters/hand slappers outside were curious.

My 39th home opener...

Spent another wonderful game day with my mainest of main men, Amish.

You know it's bad/sad when Oldschooler posts this.

Double bad/sad when everything said is true.

Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde...you really want to wonder which one this team is, but sadly you already know.

Like the quote in my signature from Paul Brown says

Winning makes believers of us all.

Well, that was a straight up ass whipping.

They play like that and they'll lose every game.

Hopefully they can turn it around. We'll see.

Having been there Sunday, whatever "boos" occurring, were not this cascading/deafening type. I have been to those kind of games--this was tepid at best. Whatever. And any squawking head "journalists" looking for the "quit" default setting, are asshats--those guys on the field were laying it all out...even when it was long over.

There was no sense in getting upset about it anyway--the lack of being able to run at all, and the stupid defensive alignments, never gave them a chance.

The game was lost in Free Agency and recent drafts.

I wasn't there but from watching the game on TV it seemed like some guys weren't laying it all out, specifically #27 &#52.

That was a pitiful defensive performance, one of the worst of all time and the stats back that up. The defensive alignments worked well in Seattle,  it was the effort and the tackling that wasn't the same.

As for the booing, atleast it shows that the fans are emotionally invested in the outcome of the game.

That says it all.  To make it worse, they go after free agents that are journeymen (Webb, the recent linebacker who I have forgotten already), waived for a reason (Hart) or who are meh at best, generally speaking.

Our luck with first round draft pick speaks for itself and as far as this year, what happened to preseason golden boy, Germaine Pratt?  Heaven knows we need an athletic linebacker who can cover or protect an end.

One reason the booing wasn't louder was there weren't a hell of a lot of Bengals fans left in the

stadium to boo after the beginning of the third quarter.  Where the fuck did all the 49er fans come from.

As I was leaving my parking garage, 580 Walnut, a group of about a half dozen late 20's-early 30's Hispanics

with limited English and decked out in 49ers gear were leaving, too.  I pointed out the easy short cut to PBS,

nice guy that I am.

As far as going to the games vs TV... the old chestnut about the whole game day experience.

I enjoy going with my son and lady friend's son, stopping at Belterra Casino on the way home

to throw away some money and eat an expensive free meal.

AND... PBS on game days has the most fantastic displays of women from jail bait to MILF in outfits

that make you want to cry and howl at the moon.

It's amazingly sad that they went to bat with this LB corps that wouldn't play anywhere else. Just like last year, good OCs will shred the middle of the field no matter what defensive strategy Lou rolls out there.

Yep, nothing but domestic violence responses in the comments. He doesn't exactly have a surplus of goodwill to fall back on and should just STFU.

Reading comments is pure torture. Probably hundreds of people that make Bengals55555555555 look like a genius.
