Mid Season Rant 0-9

Recommended Posts

Somebody needs to get fired.  Allowing Cooper Kupp to simply run post patterns in the middle of the field time after time to the tune of 220 yards in 3 quarters is simply not acceptable at any level.   Zero sacks and 3 QB hits on defense sucks.   The Rams had 5 sacks and 7 QB hits.  The run defense is garbage, the run blocking is garbage, a high value player (for the Bengals)  is demanding out and our star wideout who was supposed to be out 4-6 weeks and was RUNNING 6 weeks ago still isn't on the field 12 weeks after an ankle surgery.

Glad to see Germaine Pratt got 16% of the defensive snaps and Drew Sample 8% of the offensive snaps. Thank god they spent the $8.25 mil on blocking TE CJ Uzomah this year.  He is on pace for 18 catches and 224 yards.  I get it, insurance for Eifert but $8.25 mil?  Is Sample really that fucking bad that he barely gets on the field?  He was a second round pick TE!  Oh, lets not forget $7.9 mil on Bobby Hart, those were brilliant moves.

The 2019 off season may go down as the worst ever for the club.   The 0-8 team is getting almost ZERO contribution from the 2019 draft class.   Offseason FAs:   B.W. Webb plays more than 65% of def snaps every game and has 13 total tackles???   Preston Brown....LOL.   John Miller and Eifert may be the best players the club acquired (resigned) this off season.  Eifert on pace for 384 yards,  2 TDs and a dismal 8.35yds/reception which is second to last (30th) for TEs with more than 15 catches.   Hart...LOL

The only hope is that the guy we drafted in the first round, Ole What's His Name, can actually contribute at some point.

Topping off the horrific off season was the team (was it Toy Blackburn or was it Dufus Tobin?) saying after signing Hart "What else were we supposed to do?) LOL.

Asking to be traded or cut is pretty messed up.  He is our best lineman when healthy (no idea about Williams)

Oh wow. Billy Price with the 1.6 grade in pass blocking from PFF. That's out of 100.

A reply on Twitter asked if a 0.0 was no one actually filling the position, which he responded correct. So Billy Price is barely more effective than a vacant position.

We traded down to get Cordy Glenn and wound up with Price instead of Ragnow.

Just let that sink in.

Offensive line draft picks in the last five years: Jonah Williams, Michael Jordan, Billy Price, Rod Taylor, JJ Dielman, Christian Westerman, Cedric Ogbuehi, Jake Fisher, Russel Bodine.

Bodine is the best OL we've picked in the last 5 years. He is currently unemployed.

Know what sucks even worse? Not only will Mikey not sign a quality free agent  olineman, we probably won't draft one before the 4th round.
