Draft. Vegas.

Recommended Posts

The wife and I are going to Vegas for the draft.   I’m curious if anyone else has decided that they are too or if not if they’ve been to other drafts.

I read they might be putting the main stage hovering over the Bellagio fountain.   I also read they were shutting down a large section of the strip for three days and calling it draft town.

im gonna go live in draft town for three days.   Who’s coming too?

Close down any part of the Strip for three days...good one.

More money is made there in three days than the NFL would make in three years.

The stadium/Strip walkway and entry forum will be completed by then perhaps. Plenty of room there, and easy access to Las Vegas Blvd. But knowing the NFL, they will try and out glitz the Masters of the Land of Glitz.

Hubby and I went to the draft back in 1995 in New York before they turned it into a 3 day extravaganza. We showed up at Madison Square Garden around 7:00 a.m., got wristbands and left until they opened the doors at 11:00 A.M. They put all the Giants and Jets fans in the middle section so we got to sit in the first spectator row off to the side. Got swag and they had a draft pick contest, which my husband wound up coming in 3rd place with 8 correct picks in the first round.

It was a lot simpler then. Had a great time.

I won't be going back to Vegas until they get all the bums off the sidewalks on the strip. I like bouncing around from casino to casino but I felt super uneasy having pockets full of cash and having to bob and weave my way through beggers to get from one casino to the other. Place has turned into a slum. It's like escape from LA.
