Kochman
Report: Quinton Spain visiting, likely to sign with Bengals Josh Alper 28 seconds ago The Bengals may be getting some veteran offensive line help. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported on Sunday that former Bills and Titans guard Quinton Spain would visit with the team. Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Monday that Spain is expected to sign with the team assuming all goes well with that meeting and COVID-19 protocols. The Bills released Spain last week after signing him to a three-year, $15 million contract during the offseason. He had been a starter with the team last year, but took on a reserve role in Buffalo this season before being let go. Cincinnati’s line has struggled to protect quarterback Joe Burrow all year and they had three linemen go down with injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Browns. Left tackle Jonah Williams has a neck injury, center Trey Hopkins is in the concussion protocol and right tackle Bobby Hart hurt his knee. Guard Xavier Su’a-Filo was already on injured reserve, so a healthy, experienced player would be a welcome addition to the group

I live fairly close to Buffalo and as a result get the most news and know the most fans of any of the NFL teams. From what I understand, the main word is: Spain has played well. Hasn't allowed a sack in two years. He's better at pass protection than in the run game. Despite this, the team seems intent on pushing Cody Ford and Jon Feliciano at OG. Spain didn't take the demotion/less attention/lack of playing time well. Like Carlos Dunlap but, kept it in house. Speculation is he asked for the release to find somewhere he could start. Contract was team friendly with little dead cap. Vast majority of Bills fans are not happy and confused by the move. Essentially, he fell out of favor, pulled a suck, team could afford to release him from a cap and capacity standpoint so when he asked for it, they granted it. There's apparently a lot of discontent brewing on the Bills (sound familiar). Oddly, Spain's potential replacement is now posting cryptic messages of malcontent on his Twitter. The Pegulas are awful owners in the NHL, so why should it be different in the NFL. Be careful when you get all excited because some owner with deep pockets buys your team... stryker57
so if all these reserve and off the street players come and just play average ,which would be an improvement, what does that say about our leadership and coaches ability to access talent? claptonrocks
Are we now down to 2 OTs??? Fred Johnson and Adenijji? Adenijji has gone thru this seasons drills and practices as a future guard.. Now you tell him he may be the Starting RT or LT against the Titans come Sunday? Fred Johnson will probably man the blindsid due to his limited experience there..Adenijji has none. Going to be a long day for the kid..Wish him well Id imagine IF they sign Spain he'll be watching the team from the sidelines getting a feel for the Olines play and how they interactions and communicate on the bench..Fittin in gametime so to speak.. Johson-Jordan-Price-Sua-Filo-Adenijji I dunno bout that group but gotta roll with it. JB's gonna torch the Titans anyway.. Question is ..Is 30-35 points still enough for a win?
