GH How would you characterize the play of the offensive line? A lot of people are down on them. It sounds like you guys are not.

ZT: That's kind of the fun thing to do right now. We'll just continue to make the corrections. It's always one different error in the run game. We've got to get everybody in sync and we've got some explosive runs that can show up. In the pass game, really, we've faced two of the premier rushers in the NFL and our guys have really battled and given Joe a chance back there.

GH: Did Fred Johnson show you enough to get another start at right guard after his first NFL start there Thursday night?

ZT: Yeah. For a guy that didn't take any physical reps (last week) for his first start at starting right guard, it wasn't perfect, but he's certainly showed some positive signs there that we can build off. He hadn't taken a guard rep in a couple of weeks. We threw him in there on a short week with no practice and we threw the ball 61 times and he got matched up a couple of times against Myles Garrett. He did a nice job with communication. It wasn't perfect but there are some things to build on.

GH: The run game doesn't quite look the same as it did at the end of last year, where then there was a lot of down-hill stuff and a lot of pulling. Are you still sticking with that?

ZT: It's very similar

GH: Without a spring and preseason, the run game needs as much precision as the pass game, right?

ZT: It does. Those guys have to be in unison and the more reps they get the better they're going to be.

GH: Are you thinking of making any changes up front or do you like what you've got going into Phillly?

ZT: We'll keep moving forward with the group we've got and we look forward to them getting their second week together under their belts.

I would have preferred an answer in the Zimmer or Ariens style - "his play was unacceptable, he will have to be better or he wont get on the field again"

Zac Shula is starting to sound like Zac Lewis, next he will be hand clapping. What positive signs did Johnson show other than he positively sucked? These coaches that publicly coddle their players just embarrass themselves because the fans can 'see better than the hear'

Not real smart for a coach to shred a guy if he doesn't have his replacement ready, especially if you feel Johnson is giving you his best.  If the guy just plain sucks, there is no reason to rip him.  Can only hurt his play.  He needs to be replaced, but if you don't have that guy ready you have to hold your tongue.

Yes, people are just down on the OL because it's the "fun thing to do",  not because everyone else on the planet can plainly see they suck ass.

This guy is either clueless or full of shit.  Or possibly both?

So they go with the same starting 5 olinemen as last week..

Probably only option right now..

The Eagles interior Dline is good

Johnson and Jordan have to improve in the run game...

Eagles DEs are suspect especially sealing the edge...

I see JB and Mixon balabcing our attack this week..

Wentz has been inconsistant..

Outside of Miles Sanders running ability

I dont see them scoring more than 20 at best..

Having Geno and Mike Daniels back looms huge...

I feel good about this game...

Edited..

No Geno or Daniels..shit..

Covington will play with bad arm...

Lord...

At least their dline lost Cox..

Stalemate..both dlines look hurting.

Go Mixon!!!

Let's see what some practice time with the coaching staff and continuity can for this offensive line. Prior to FA these were the top 5 offensive linemen regardless of position so this will be a good test for this team.

In theory it should improve the performance, if the staff can coach 'em up this week. Although it's not ideal conditions so far this offensive should have it's best performance so far.

The next person who says "player X" should replace someone on the offensive line gets a virtual kick in the nuts from everyone on the board.  Billy Price sucks ass.  He's worse than Fred Johnson who is worse than Bobby Hart.  They all suck, but the coaches do seem to know which ones suck less.

I think getting a better coaching staff would be a good idea
