How long did it take for Bush to get involved after 9/11?

Are you really comfortable with the president sitting back, just trusting that everything is going allright during the worst disaster in American history??

What if a dirty bomb went off??

Would you mind if he went off to play a few rounds of golf???

This mindset makes no sense to me.. It seems like an irrational argument made for reasons that are beyond logic.
[post="141314"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post]
Did I say I was comfortable ?

I am just putting blame where it started and where it belongs.
YES Bush should have acted quicker. And I`m not trying to defend that.
YES I am pissed the way shit was handled down there.
And I am thankful that shit is FINALLY going the way it should have
from the BEGINNING.

I have stated my reasons for thinking the way I do.
If that`s not logical to you then maybe I can break out
a black board and draw you a picture...

You preach to everyone about being open minded.
as have you about me.... "like speaking to a wall" "Micheal Moore" , "go to Cuba then" etc etc etc But nevertheless it doesn't matter to me.... political discussion is not an arena for thin skin especially with heated topics....

as for the pics.... to me they are relevant... as for not using any other sites... if I didn't you would say wheres some sources....

Also I have never said people should be open minded.... I have said that I think the Nation is slowly turning insane and into the 4th reich... and to me that doesn't require open mindedness it requires action... and non compromise.
but you act like I`m the stupidest
fucker alive
No.... you unwaveringly support one of the stupidest fucker alive.... if by association you are insulted that is not my fault

In this situation, it was obvious during the first couple of days that the feds had to be involved.. It was simply too big for the institutions we had in place to deal with..

Maybe things would have been different if we had higher level federal involvement from the start..

For me, this is definitely not about some agenda to discredit Bush.. I feel the entire administration has been discredited by it, and I am outraged.. Because as you said, these are americans.. This was a major American city, and it never should have gotten this bad..

Maybe if Bush was involved nothing would have been different.. But at least he would have been trying. And why is Cheney still fishing??

In my opinion, defending inept leadership in a crisis of this magnitude, because of political reasons, or any other loyalty is just wrong. And it goes against everything that democracy, and America is based on.

You never supply links to your articles.
You talk just like Michael Moore or some other EXTREME Left nut job.

I wouldn`t consider myself EXTREME Right. I think I am more
in the middle. But with some of the statements make and stances you
take I almost have to be EXTREME right to offset you.

You say that Bush is the dumbest fucker alive.
But then you say he is orchestrating the 4th Reich.
Well it seems to me like those two statements contradict each other...

I can't believe that you are truly in the middle... Maybe just right of middle...

I can't see how you can truly be in the middle, and objectively look at what is going on and defend this administration.

I very easily could have voted for Bush this last election, if he hadn't done so many things I objected to while in his first term.

I had no love for John Kerry.

But Bush has proven to me over and again to not be a good leader for this country at this time... And this last debacle, is simply the worst thing thus far.

EVERYBODY did an extremely shitty job in this mess... everyone....

i am no doubt right of the center, but i strive for the center... i come off as a extreme a lot of times, but that is b/c i catch myself combatting bj's left wing agendas w/ explainations for both... as old hinted to above, as a lover of this country and w/ the respect i have for bush, when i see some down right hatred posts by bj, i sometimes feel that a balance needs to be set to offset his continued hatred of bush and everything he does... if someone doesn't do it, then all everyone on this board will see is "bush sucks" and if your told that enough times, you will believe it, unless you know better...

i strive to be more moderate, and if i wasn't on this board so much, i'm sure i would be... but extremism breeds from the other sides extremism usually imo... i truely appreciate the "moderate" voices on the board, b/c it takes a lot of will power to not go off the deep end in a place like this...

as far as the topic at hand, the administration will obviously take a pounding for this... but the blame should be more on the local gov't's b/c they screwed up royally... its a shame that the president is being singled out in extreme force, when the duties in these disasters are mostly on the governors... how come NO has built so many casinos and brand new buildings, while ignoring their livelihood: the levee??? they have spent alot of money in the past few years, while almost totally ignoring the levee that was saving everything in the city....

but bush deserves to take a pounding on this... but not b/c he was on vacation imo... that is a weak argument... the president is never on vacation truely... a good way to get rid of stress, is to walk away from a situation for a minute... anyone that focuses on something w/out walking away, will not see things clearly...

bush deserves to be bashed some here solely b/c he should have realized the mess that was happening, and brought the "cavalry" in a few days ago... for that, he deserves mass criticism... the starting at the top is bs imo, b/c the mayor and governor is supposed to be the first line of defense, and both of them were crying on the air, instead of leading their people to greatness....

everyone deserves to be criticized in this situation... but most blame goes on local and state gov'ts imo.. no question about that... they fucked up royally...

I was saying I am more in the middle than EXTREME Right.
But I HAVE to be EXTREME Right to offset BJ.

And I haven`t defended Bush as much as I am trying
to get BJ to lay the blame where it belongs the MOST IMO.

I think Bush has done a better than average job all things considered.
He was handed a bunch of shit ...and he had no choice but to make
a shit sandwich. I don`t agree with everything he does.
And he did drop the ball on this one. He should have stepped
up faster than he did.

I just think for 2 of the worst disasters to ever hit our Nation...
to be during his Presidency...that he has brought the Nation
together and made them focus on the job at hand...to me
that equals a good leader.
