Offense at 33?

If it were my decision I would draft an OT at 33 for a few reasons:

1. Protecting Burrow is the top priority and currently the talent at OT is questionable at best.

2. This draft is not deep with quality OT prospects and normally OT go early in the draft because it's perceived to be a premium position. Waiting until the later rounds will mean significantly less talented players are available.

I really like Isaiah Wilson from UGA, played 27 games at RT in the SEC and is only getting better as matures. Physically he's a beast and a great athlete.

He's young and really starting to put it all together. Many scouts think he came out to would be a first round pick if he stayed another year or two.

If I were drafting for the Bengals I would go OT in the 2nd and 4th, LB in the 3rd and 5th, and WR in the 6th and 7th.

I like the mannish boy as well..

Di you take a need with him at RT in 2nd

if Reagor Mims Baun are still on board?

To be honest they lack speed at WR bigtime..Ross and then what?

Absolutely, the need at OT is exponentially greater than WR or 3-4 LB/EDGE.

Bobby Hart is the most proven OT on the roster and that is scary...

Williams is a question mark and Johnson has played a limited amount of snaps.

Not sure why the OT position hasn't been addressed in FA, but hopefully sooner than later more talent is added.

The big man does come with issues though..

Hes so damn huge he has problems containing the edge on pass downs.

He has slow hands to the breastplate eliminating his long reach (35.5 inches)

Opponents get leverage underneath him

as hes not quick out of the box..

All this can be corrected but to think hes going to step in and solidify the right side immediately looks like a reach...

If they take him in round two im not going to complain though..

Wilson does have technical issues that need to be corrected but in the worst case he can provide quality depth, push Hart to improve, and replace him in a year or two.

Best case he comes and continues to improve and is the next Willie Anderson.

Agree...i don't think Isaiah will makes it out of round two..

Just too much potential...

Reagor Mims and Braun are so enticing though...

Next year's 1st Rd pick can be used on an OT.  That would be a better quality tackle than anything we can get this season.  I'd rather wait a year and give Burrows quality than force a 2nd/3rd round pick on him, basically committing to that selection and taking OT off the board for next year's 1st.

I think next year's pick will be a wide receiver.

I am OK with that, like it, even.

I simply do not one in round two this year.

Want LB/edge or Kyle Dugger.

Or a too good to be true slider OT

And Godzilla in free agency.

But no WR.

If a good one is there, I would trade down a very little and

still try to address the aforementioned positions.

So who are we looking at in round 3?

1/2 :ninja:

WR Michael Pittman Jr, USC

WR KJ Hamler, Penn St

WR KJ Hill, Ohio St

TE Adam Trautman, Dayton

OT Lucas Niang, TCU

OT Ben Bartch, St John

OT Isaiah Wilson, Georgia

G Jonah Jackson, Ohio St

G Netane Muti, Fresno St

DE Darrell Taylor, Tennessee

LB Josh Uche, Michigan

LB Akeem Gaither-Davis, App St

LB Troy Dye, Oregon

LB Davion Taylor, Colorado

CB K'von Wallace, Clemson

No idea if we've talked to any of these guys but a lot of them will be available at 65.

I think Antoine Winfield is top 40 when it's all said and done. Kid is a legit playmaker with legit cover skills and some serious pedigree to go along with. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if someone took him at the very end of R1.

Same with Michael Pittman. I think he's another high second rounder that'll go before a lot of the more hyped guys in this class. He's an extremely well rounded player...the kind of guy scouts and GM's love. .

Hell there's a chance he might not make it out of RD 1.

If he would have stayed at UGA and moved to LT next year; he probably go top 10 in 2021

Bengals should draft this man in next year's 1st Round.  It's likely they will draft between 10 and 20, and based on this year's free agent moves, they would be willing to trade into the Top-9 to get him, the place the Bengals have traditionally found their starting tackles worthy of growing with a player the caliber of Burrow.  No player they "can get" in this draft can carry this guy's jockstrap.  This is no time to experiment with 2nd and 3rd round tackles wasting years of Burrow's time in Cincy.  Do it right.  Get the best.

Penei Sewell*, OT, Oregon
Height: 6-6. Weight: 325.
Projected 40 Time: 5.00.
Projected Round (2021): Top-20.

2/17/20: Sewell had a dominant junior season as the blind side protector for Justin Herbert. Possessing good size, length, and athleticism, Sewell has a good skill set that could end up making him one of the top prospects for the 2021 NFL Draft. For his excellent junior season, Sewell won the Outland Trophy and was the Pac-12 co-offensive player of the year. Sewell was a shutdown pass protector not allowing a sack in over 926 snaps as a sophomore. He only was credited with allowing seven pressures and two hits all season. He broke into the starting lineup as a freshman.

I keep ping-ponging between wanting OL at 33 and LB. If one of each falls to 33  my head will probably explode. And Mikey will then draft a WR. Because reasons. And things.

Pick one in round 2..

Zach Baun or Austin Jackson?

Huge Baun fan! Him, Hubbard and Lawson would be relentless.

I'm also starting to come around to Cesar Ruiz and sticking him at RG.

Definitely not a fan of reaching for a OT....which is exactly what it would be.

Real good chance WR is BPA.

Baun I think (but ask me tomorrow)

In all honesty, I think the Bengals are wedded to Hart for at least next year (someone else said that earlier I'm just to lazy to look it up) so an OT may be out of the question at 33.  Assuming that's  the case I'd prefer a killer guard and a LB in rounds 2 and 3.
