Joe Burrow still not signed.

Nothing new to report.

Carry on

He is just like Akile.  Holding out and will be a bust.  :ninja:

Maybe it is his agent that is trying to get him on a deal that rivals Tua from the Fins!

Jb is slotted at 37mil as the first pick..

Tua at 5 is at 30mil..

The only negotiation would be guaranteed money..

That is probably set in stone too ..

Or close...

Exactly.  There is little negotiation for rookies.  They get what they are slotted to get.

I remember drafting him and thought fuck no..

I guess we were right about him..

Ive hated  Oregon or Oregon St.qbs since then..

 Justin Herbert included.

I remember Collinsworth slobbering all over Akili on 700 WLW saying "it was the right pick".

1st Round contracts are guaranteed, that is why being pick 33 sucks.     About the only thing negotiable is when he gets the signing bonus money paid which was what held up Joey Bosa from signing with San Diego.

Akili was not even good enough to be a bust

For those who have forgotten, and why wouldn't they, Akili had a career completion pct. of 46.6%,  and 13 INTs vs. 5 TDs, all of which led to sparkling 52.8 QB Rating (which seems too high, given his performance).

I think below bust is 'unmitigated disaster'.

Didn't he win his first start?  Cleveland maybe?

The first game I saw at PBS he started against the Dolphins. He played well and we were up  by 10 going into half until the final play. Smith got strip sacked by Jason Taylor and Taylor took the ball into the end zone with no time on the clock.   It was the last time I ever saw Smith look even close to an NFL quality QB. 2nd half was horrific.

Jesus, Akili should have NEVER have been drafted in the first rd, period. There were SOOOO many red flags that they just flat out ignored. They got what  they deserved in the end....fuck em.

That’s bullshit. 5 TDs? Are you sure?

Seems way too high...

Not sure if it was the first game but he did beat Cleveland and went ape shit

with an exaggerated throat slash celebration giving further proof of what a class

individual he was.  I think that particular gesture was then outlawed by the NFL,

Akillus' only major contribution to professional football.
