Dunlap traded to seahawks

Recommended Posts

The Cincinnati Bengals have told defensive end Carlos Dunlap to stay home rather than come to work Wednesday as the team sorts out his future, sources confirmed to ESPN's Dianna Russini.

The Bengals have had trade talks centered on their disgruntled pass-rusher, and those are continuing, according to the sources.

Dallas is going to release Dontari Poe.

We are definitely thin at DT now.

And I believe his salary is quite manageable.

Dontari Poe signed a 2 year, $8,500,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $1,500,000 signing bonus, $3,500,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,250,000.

There is going to be a bloodbath in Dallas

Dunlap is a 4-3 DE.

Lou runs a base 3-4 defense

Round pegs don't fit into square holes.

It's not that Carlos is declining, the scheme they are running now, doesn't play to his strengths.

Pat Kirwan talked about this on NFL radio a few days ago.

He also mentioned Seattle would be a perfect fit for Dunlap.

What do the Seahawks have in B.J. Finney?

Article on him from earlier in the month. Couldn’t get on the field at center or guard—despite rash of injuries. Looks to be just a throw-in along with the pick.

Twitter says OL BJ Finney and a pick

His name is ripe for a future Sewer Brewer nickname

Uh, oh....  :ninja:

From Wikipedia:

"Even though he was a highly sought after undrafted free agent, he opted to sign with the Pittsburgh Stealers as they were his favorite NFL team as a child. Finney's surprising fall in the draft was said to be in part due to team's fearing his arms were too short and that he lacked technique and athleticism."

that's not a ringing endorsement, but likely still better than any other options the Bengals currently have.
