Giants Week Transactions

Recommended Posts

Per the league’s transaction wire, the Texans signed Bengals defensive lineman Andrew Brown to a contract, meaning he’s on the 53 there and the team has a spot to fill.

Brown was a fifth-round pick by the Bengals in 2018 and appeared in a few games last year before the team reinforced the position this past offseason.

Elsewhere, the team announced it moved wideout Auden Tate and offensive lineman B.J. Finney to the COVID-19/reserve list, while also activating cornerback Winston Rose from it.

Normally, Tate being unable to play might mean yet another chance for John Ross, but the former first-round pick is currently on injured reserve after injuring himself in practice last week.

Losing Tate would be more of a blow if he had someone to throw to him.

Up from the practice squad

CB Brian Allen  No 29
RB Jacques Patrick  No 31
TE Mitchell Wilcox  No 84

I would like to see Jacques le Strap Patrick get some carries.

6'2" 234   Bigger than Gio, Perine and and Treyveop, even Mixon.

Could be interesting.  Hit the line, keep your legs moving and hold on to the ball.

He is a bruiser..

His problem may be he runs to high..

Maybe he cant get lower .

Im sure the coaching staff will work that out for him..

Or do nothing to help the kid which seems about right..

You expect him to do all three at the same time?

The Cincinnati Bengals have made several moves with the 53-man roster and practice squad.

Saturday morning, the team announced it had activated wide receiver Auden Tate and offensive lineman B.J. Finney to the roster from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Both had been placed on Reserve/COVID-19 on Nov. 25.

The Bengals also signed cornerback Jalen Davis from the practice squad to the active roster.

And finally, the Bengals signed free agent QB Kevin Hogan to the practice squad.

Hogan (6-3, 218), a fourth-year player out of Stanford University, was a college free agent signee of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016. He later spent time with the Cleveland Browns, Washington Football Team and Denver Broncos. He has played in eight career games and completed 60 of 101 passes for 621 yards, four TDs and seven INTs. He also has 18 rushes for 176 yards and another TD.

Davis (5-10, 185), a first-year player out of Utah State University, was a college free agent signee of the Miami Dolphins in 2018. He then spent 2019 and the beginning of ’20 with the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Bengals’ practice squad on Oct. 27. He played in Games 9-10 for Cincinnati as a practice squad player elevated to the active roster for game day and has three tackles so far this season.
