God must be bad at Geography because he only communicates in clusters ;)

Good find BJ. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "cafiteria" set up though. A couple things I found interesting: one of the only highly concentrated areas for muslims in the country is DC, and also that Kansas is a kind of "home base" for methodists. I don't know a lot about the specifics of the methodist religion, but I wonder if this is the major reason that kansas has been the primary state to fight for the teaching of "Creation Science" alongside evolution in schools. Interesting.

--> I find it interesting that Oregon, Washington, and Maine are so secular. Of note is that fact that Washington, Oregon, and Maine have the 3 lowest Murder and crime rates in the county.

--> It is also interesting that directly east of CIncinnati there seems to be an isolated large pocket of secularism which heads into the hills of W Virginia.

--> Also it seems that coastal areas cut down on hige %'s of adhernets. I wonder if the correlation stems from the fact that there are more things to do on Sunday (go to the beach) and that overall there is more going on to fill your time with. Put this next to the panhandle of Texas and parts of the Dakotas which are the most isolated places in the nation almost and they have an extremely high % of followers

--> Has any Ohio people been to that isolated pocket of Amish country in North, East Ohio???

I think ti would be pretty interesting at least to hang with some Amish for a week or two to see what it is like.

--> It is also interesting that you have a pocket of Quakers in Northern Alaska.... I didn't know there was an exodus. Also that Blue pocket of Quakers in Colordao - That is where I was born.

-- Of the Sub-Christian Groups I actually don't mind Quakers... primarily because they were always abolitionist in the United States, and were the only ones that wanted to free the slaves for a long time.

I don't believe Mennonites are doing much recruiting. And the Baptists don't really like to recruit outside of the South. I think they are pretty happy there. Tell you what, there's nothing scarier than a Southern Baptist. Those are some strange folk there.

Also, about Washington, Oregon, and Maine, I could point out something else to make you wonder about their crime rate, and it's not religion. But you would probably call me a racist.

Here's a link, look it up yourself.
BJ are you trying to figure out where you can live after school and your middle east trek are over?
I tried looking at all the maps and seeing if I could find a county with no colors in any of the maps, no % of adherents etc.... so I could move there.... but damn they are like Cult Roaches

There are large communities of them in Canada. Kitchener, Ontario to be precise.
