Been focusing on Chris Conley a bunch for that 3rd WR spot. Great speed (at least when he ran the 40 before the NFL). Willing blocker. Can play all over the field https://www.rotowire.com/football/player.php?id=10210. Salary was reasonable "Chris Conley signed a 2 year, $4,595,000 contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, including a $1,000,000 signing bonus, $1,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,297,500. In 2020, Conley will earn a base salary of $2,275,000, a roster bonus of $445,000, a workout bonus of $50,000 and a incentive bonus of $475,000, while carrying a cap hit of $3,745,000 and a dead cap value of $2,825,000." Production was good. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/2578533/chris-conley Seems like a good locker room guy based off lower vids. Can sign him to be in the mix for the 3rd WR spot with Tate and a Rookie (Here is who I got in the 4th round recently https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/dazz-newsome/oy54VkLkSg

Seems like a guy Meyer might want to keep. Also, he might finally breakout with Lawrence at QB. Guy is physically talented.

They have Chark and Shenault already. Then they have Westbrook-Cole and Conley as Free Agents. And Drafted Tyler Johnson last year. I could see them bringing him back or going in another direction for sure.

How is it the players fault when you have Golden as their mentor?

Hes horrible ..

I think theyll replace him soon but soon isnt quick enough for me..

Now!

Bad coaching hires & a lack of talent both, in too many areas

They drafted 3 of them last year, like Pratt and actually also really like Bynes too. The issue last year was the pass rush. They won't pay big bucks for a linebacker when they have needs along the OL and DL.

They won't pay big bucks for OL when they have needs at LB & DL.  They won't pay big bucks for DL when they have needs at OL & LB.

What they will do is draft one of those in the first round and then hang the entire season on him.

LB is pretty settled. They play 2 of them and they have 6 they like.

Well they all more or less looked like shit for most of the year & I don't think that's all on their position coach.

I guess it's too much to ask for some accountability from the people responsible for hiring the bad coaches & signing the bad players.

I feel like we've been watching 2 different teams.  Don't put their bad decisions on me just because you choose to ignore them.  You can easily do the same for me if it's a problem for you.  Just don't stalk me like Kenneth & we'll be golden.  Your call.

For what it’s worth, I hate the 2 LB defense. It barely works against any team in the nfl, and it is stupid to use in the AFC north

Its pretty standard in the NFL now.

I thought they were greatly improved over the last year. Wilson showed flashes of being something special. Pratt and Bynes were consistent. ADG was getting minutes at the end and playing well. Markus Bailey even showed some things at the end.

They looked OK against a Stooler team in freefall and were barely good enough to let us outscore Houston in a shootout.  Against a good team like Baltimore they went back to getting absolutely run over.  For most of the year they looked slow and/or babyshit soft IMO.  Some of the most halfassed attempts at tackling I've ever seen & none of them could get off a block.

Then again, the team in general seemed to want to be somewhere else, so maybe there's some talent there but they didn't want to play for Lou Asshole? Could also believe that the lack of DT's left them vulnerable to interor O linemen running free at the 2nd level.

5.1 YPC allowed does not point to good LB's.
