Or how soon he has a nervous breakdown.

Meyer had been extremely successful wherever ges coached..

Granted thus is a whole new chapter for him and odds of college coaches success is minimal unless they quickly adapt..

Im wondering if he wants Lawrence or Fields now..ill go Lawrence..

Good luck to him since hes not in our division..

The question is can he get his players to do what he wants without the intimidation factor. He knows the game, but college coaches have tons of power.  Not the same in the NFL. We’ll see.

I never thought of Meyer as an intimidater ad far as college coaches go..

Saben yes...Urban no...

How in the world would you know?  Even if he is pleasant to the players his assistants could play the heavy.   Only time will tell.

And they deserve him. I predict he will be as successful an NFL coach as Saban was.

Well, after 2 years he had 15 wins. That’s 9 more than our current coach.

He was 9-7 and 6-10.  He only coached 2 years. That is hardly failing. He left because Alabama backed up a Brinks truck to his house and convinced him to leave.

He also couldn’t go out and sweet talk someone’s mom into giving him one of the the best QBs in country every few years.  He was stuck with Dante Culpepper.

He might still be there if Drew Brees had passed his physical.

From the Niners to the Jets HC job.  Detroit shouldn't have let him get away.

Saleh to the Jets is a stunner.

I wonder how Detroit screwed this up.

He will probably pick Justin Fields with the 2nd pick and let Darnold walk.

Then I'd pick the best RB on the board in the 2nd round.

And if I was him, I'd call Brian Schottenheimer to the OC

Theres a couple guys from SF that will be OC's soon. I think it was rumored he would take LaFleur with him.

That would be nice.

Be interesting to see if Marvin ends up a Lion.

Fields with the 2nd pick  would be a Jets move.

Fields is not that good at this point.  He struggled dealing with Alabama's blitzing, you think it's gonna be easier in the NFL playing for a terrible team?

Every QB has struggled dealing with with Alabama's blitzing.

SF wasn't it you that said that Urban was asking for $12mill/yr? You also opined that he'd likely not go to the Jags. Are you surprised that he did take this job? Any info on what his contract is for?
