He is play reminds me of Kellen Winslow Sr.

Unfortunately, he will probably be picked by Philly, who picks right after us.

Kellen Winslow?  I was thinking he was more like John Mackey or even Mike Ditka.

I don’t understand why people think he’s going to be a C? I feel pretty safe in saying that if he ends up here he’s almost certain to be a RG. He’s being compared to Quinton Nelson as a prospect coming out of college and he went 6th overall. I doubt Indy has any regrets about that one.

I just did another 7 round mock and I traded back twice in the 1st round, then traded BACK UP into the 1st round to snag a OT before

they dried up!!  I'm going to go ahead and throw this disclaimer out

there first though!!  When I went to trade back up into the first,

I was going from #37 back up to #23 I meant to give up #37 and #110

but I must have on accident hit 2022 3rd round pick as well!!  D'oh!!

So I ended up getting a D+ on the trade, (which I can understand), but

it was an accident.  lolol  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!  😕

I forgot to add, I came away with the Colts 2022 5th round pick.  The 49'ers 2022 1st round pick and Washington's 2022 2nd round pick.

You should ignore anyone who compares Slater to Nelson.  Nelson is a roadgrader with good feet.  Slater has good feet but not a lot of power.

Who or what site said Slater is compared to Nelson?

Nelson just made All-NFL 1st team for the 3rd year in a row in 3yrs in the league..

Hasnt been done since Barry Sanders yrs ago...

Slater may be a good one but comparing him to Nelson is unjust..

Brevin Jordan could end up being a really good TE.  I’m not a fan of Cosmi in the 1st, but if he’s there in the 2nd and we didn’t already address the position (draft or FA), I’d be OK with it.  It’s an offensive league now, but we really need help on the defense.  If we can fix the O line and get another weapon (TE or WR) the offense is more than fine.   On defense we have multiple holes on every level.  We need another edge (assuming we keep Lawson), we need a Geno replacement, LB is still a weak point and we need another CB, possibly 2 depending on what happens with WJ3.   We could also use another safety next to Bates.

I hate the PFF simulator. Not that I don't love this draft. It would be awesome.....But they make trading down so easy that I am now to the point where if Sewell isn't there and we don't trade down I will look at it as a huge mistake.

IDK.

John Mackey was built like Earl Campbell.

Hard to tackle with exceptional speed, and nice hands

Pitts probably has better hands than both of them but I don't see him breaking tackles like Mackey and Dikta.

Yep, he certainly is no Bronco Nagurski.

PFF engine - this time I refused to do a first round deal to mimic a likely bengals approach where if they trade back it is likely in 2nd and/or 3rd rounds...came out with:

Round 1 pick 5: Ja'Marr Chase, WR LSU
Round 2 pick 42: Elijah Vera-Tucker, T/G USC
Round 3 pick 71: Joseph Ossai, Edge, Texas
Round 3 pick 74: Creed Humphrey, C, OU
Round 4 pick 110: Rodarius Williams, CB, OkState
Round 4 pick 112: Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama
Round 5 pick 150: Brady Christensen, T, BYU
Round 6: pick 191: Richard LeCounte, S, Georgia
Round 7: pick 232: Austin Watkins, WR, UAB
Round 7: pick 234: Josh Jobe, CB, Alabama
Round 7: pick 250: William Bradley-King, Edge, Baylor

Thoughts? Was curious what not trading back in 1 and trading back in 2 and/or 3 might look like in an effort to mimic real world conditions for the Bengals...

(First 4 off the board in that sim were Lawrence, Fields, Sewell, and Caleb Fairley)

I'm really warming to a receiver at #5 (Chas/Smith/Pitts) - especially if I could add solid OL pieces in round 2 and free agency.   The thought of giving Geaux another dynamic target to go with Boyd & Higgins is just becoming too tempting, although solidifying the OL is still my top priority and after Sewell/Slater the drop off in OL prospects is pretty steep (especially those who would be available to the Bengals in Rd 2).
