Doesn't Vera-Tucker have really short arms for a tackle?  I think I'd take Darisaw over him.  Unless Darisaw also had horrible measurements and I missed it.

Slater.............33.00

Vera-Tucker....32.25

Humphreys.....31.68

We need guys who can stretch the field and get open. Lots of quick guys in this draft and some even in FA.

Agree to disagree. No worries 🍻

Difference makers are what I'm looking for.

OK, wasn't gonna post this, but thought trading down 4 getting Chase and Marshall while still getting Leatherwood and then a wildcard in Najee Harris was hilarious.  Also really liked the Ossai, Meinerz and Wilson picks (which all goes to show how unrealistic this whole thing is.  In both drafts, I was going to take Jose Borregales (PK) Miami (FL), but the simulator doesn't allow you yo pick specialists.  That's it, no more.  [I got Chase, Marshall AND Harris for the 5th pick] 😂

This would be about the only scenario where I would take Chase in he first, trade down a few spots and get a massive haul. If Mikey could pull this off I'll kiss his ass in a public place of his choosing and give him 10 minutes to draw a crowd.

In all this talk about wide receivers, why is Mixon's name never mentioned? He's going to be making bank next year to do what? Pass block? Cheerlead from the sidelines? Two years ago the Titans rode Henry and Tannehilll to the AFC championship game, why can't the Bengals do the same? And lets face it, Tannehill is no Burrow.

Rebuild the lines. Run the ball. Eat the clock and keep Burrow upright. Want a speed receiver? Draft one one the later rounds. Hell draft two, and a TE while your at it. Just make the top of draft a Caterpillar draft, no Ferraris.

LOL...PFF draft and their grades are such BS.

I decided to just simply pick the highest rated player with every pick with no trading. Somehow Trevor Lawrence slid...but anyways, here's the draft.

I noticed they typically give better grades when you are doing trading.

Which do you like better? PFF engine - no trades.

Option 1 (the Chase option):

Round 1 Pick 5 Ja'Marr Chase, WR, LSU
Round 2 Pick 38, Sam Cosmi, T, Texas
Round 3 Pick 69, Ben Cleveland, G, Georgia
Round 4 Pick 111, Patrick Jones II, Edge, Pitt
Round 5, Pick 149, Milton Williams, IDL, La Tech
Round 6, Pick 190, D'Wayne Eskridge, WR, Western Mich
Round 6, Pick 202, Terron Jackson, Edge, Coastal Carolina
Round 7, Pick 235, Josh Imatorbhebhe, WR, Illinois

Option 2 (the Sewell option):

Round 1 Pick 5 Penei Sewell, T, Oregon
Round 2 Pick 38, Dyami Brown, WR, North Carolina
Round 3 Pick 69, Creed Humphrey, IOL, Oklahoma
Round 4 Pick 111, Jay Tufule, IDL, USC
Round 5, Pick 149, Jaylen Twyman, Edge, Pitt
Round 6, Pick 190, Milton Williams, IDL, La Tech
Round 6, Pick 202, Frank Darby, WR, Arizona State
Round 7, Pick 235, Josh Imatorbhebhe, WR, Illinois

For me, it's a borderline coin flip. I would lean the Chase/T over the Sewell/WR but it's really close. I think this shows why I am not on the Sewell or bust train. Both solutions are very, very workable and would help this team in 2021 and beyond.

A good offensive line makes Average receivers look good..

A good receiver has Nothing to do with giving more time to JB ..

But go with your shiny toys..

A really good receiver such as Chase or Pitts can't do much to gibe Burrow more time but if they get open Joe can get rid of the ball sooner so that protects him as well. The OL is his primary protection but open targets do help Joe avoid hits as well.  Ross as a shiny toy with speed being his only real asset. Flash without substance. Chase and Pitts seem to me to be more substance than flash. Speed alone does not get you open. Great suddenness and route running does but if you can't bring in the ball and hold onto it being open means little. My point? Chase and Pitts seem way more than shiny toys.  I do agree about the Oline but we could take Chase/Pitts and still protect Joe. There are at least a dozen scenarios in this draft that would work.

Many scenarios yes..

Many needs yes..

Maybe trading back isnt a bad idea..

If they could get a huge offer do it..

Just...Draft Wise...

I like your Option 2 A LOT (see, Dub, no Pitts cheering from me)

A solid OT and interior O line in the first three picks.  Can/will Humphrey play Center?

Both your drafts have Milton and would like to see your 7th round pick make the team

just to hear the announcers try to pronounce his name.  Would be a cool jersey, too.

So I an article today, it was asked - what if the 49ers traded up for a non QB?
now that would mess the draft boards up?

It would be fantastic for everyone hoping the bengals can still engineer a tradeback.

Fun to think about but you don't give up that much capital for anything other than a QB.

Vera-Tucker will be a guard in the NFL. A really good one, IMO.

Kind of my point. How far down are we willing to trade, or how high are we willing to take a guard?

8th pick with Carolina if they like whatever QB is still on the board..

We get the 8th pick and 8th in third.. That 4th round pick is worth a franchise type QB...

So they can kick that in too.

Deal?...

No guards in round one..
