Paul Brown also doesn't deserve it.  He founded the team  and he's got his name on the stadium.  That's it.

Accomplishments as Bengal coach/owner?  Zero.

Stupidly didn't hire Bill Walsh as his successor as coach

Stupidly installed his incompetent son as his successor as owner

Blame Mike Brown all you want, but the reason the Bengals franchise is one of the bottom 5 in the Super Bowl era is all on Paul Brown and his archaic methods.

Im tired of blaming anyone past or present..

They have the makings of a good team.

Hopefully free agency and the draft

make them that way...

Well, we have had the same team owner for 30 odd years and it is one of the worst franchises in the league. So blaming Mikey is blaming the past and present. PB had more positive aspects to team building and ownership then negative ones, but Mikey seemed to only pick up the negative ones and left the positive ones behind.

Every poor team has the 'makings of a good team' if they get better players and coaches. Kind of obvious.

in a league with a hard salary cap and slotted rookie contracts, EVERY team should have the makings of a good team.

Still, some franchises just can’t seem to get over the hump or only do so for short periods of time.

If they want a ring put the older ones in first..

Let them have their day while theyre alive...

Bob Johnson...Ken Anderson...Ken Riley and Munoz

Add 2 the next year....

Boomer and Willie..

One each yr after that..probably  Krumrie up first..

Jmho...

Like the idea of guys who are alive getting to enjoy it.  Munoz and Anderson are locks.  Bob Johnson, too.   I wouldn't wait on Krumrie.  He has some CTE issues and who knows if he could even attend today.  Last I saw of him was in 2017.

Add Krumrie to the first group then..

He deserves it...

Uh, does anyone else think PB may not deserve to be in the ring for his work with the Bengals? He certainly deserves to be in the Browns ring (do they have one?) but he had a pretty mixed record with the Bengals without any notable successes.

I debated this as well, in my head, but he created the team and is one of only two Bengals on the HOF
