MichaelWeston
With 7 picks left where do you see openings still on the roster. These are the 43 locks I see. QB Burrow 25 Allen 22 RB Mixon 25 Perine 23 WR Chase 26 Tate 22 WR Higgins 24 WR Boyd 24 TE Sample 23 Uzomah 22 LT Williams 24 Adeniji 24 LG Su'a-Filo 23 Spain 22 C Hopkins 23 Price 22 RG Carman 25 RT Reiff 22 Johnson 22 K Seibert 23 P Huber 22 LS Harris 22 LE Hubbard 22 Kareem 24 LT Reader 24 Wren 23 Tupou 22 RT Ogunjobi 22 RE Hendrickson 25 Ossai 25 SLB Davis-Gaither 24 MLB Pratt 23 WLB Wilson 24 Bailey 24 S Bell 23 S Bates 22 Allen 22 Wilson 23 CB Waynes 23 Phillips 22 CB Awuzie 24 CB Hilton 25 Obviously these aren't all going to be filled by rookies. There are a bunch of guys who are likely to make the team but just not locks RB-Williams WR-Thomas/Morgan-I think one makes it for teams G-Micheal Jordan might not go so soon DT-Mike Daniels could make it LB-Evans came back for a reason CB-Eli Apple has a great chance to make it. Factoring in openings based on Free Agents for 2022 who are starting now, Rieff and Ogunjobi, DT and T become bigger needs.
Sea Ray
Think we might grab a kicker tomorrow?
MichaelWeston
17 minutes ago, Sea Ray said: Think we might grab a kicker tomorrow? 4/32 kickers in the league were drafted by the team they are on. Kickers usually end up failing at stop one and then figuring it out. I think it's a mental thing.
|SF2|
If Eli Apple makes the team, we have a serious depth issue. The guy sets burned worst than Rod Jones did.
MichaelWeston
Would this be the current 53 man roster? QB Burrow 25 Allen 22 RB Mixon 25 Perine 23 Williams 23 WR Chase 26 Tate 22 WR Higgins 24 Thomas 22 WR Boyd 24 Morgan 22 TE Sample 23 Uzomah 22 Schrek 22 LT Williams 24 Adeniji 24 LG Su'a-Filo 23 Jordan 23 C Hopkins 23 Price 22 RG Carman 25 Spain 22 RT Reiff 22 Johnson 22 K Seibert 23 P Huber 22 LS Harris 22 LE Hubbard 22 Kareem 24 Bledsoe 22 LT Reader 24 Wren 23 Tupou 22 RT Ogunjobi 22 Daniels 22 RE Hendrickson 25 Ossai 25 SLB Davis-Gaither 24 Jones 22 MLB Pratt 23 Bailey 24 WLB Wilson 24 Evans 22 S Bell 23 S Bates 22 Allen 22 Wilson 23 CB Waynes 23 Phillips 22 CB Awuzie 24 Apple 22 CB Hilton
snarkster
At receiver, we have Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Tate, Thomas & Morgan.. I'd rather not have more than one slot going to Thomas/Morgan. There are several WR's I wouldn't mind. Cade Johnson Jaelon Darden Amin-Ra St. Brown Tylan Wallace Marquez Stevenson Mike Strachen Josh Imatorbnebhe I'd use the 7th on a PK (Jose Borredales or Evan McPherson). Yeah, you could easily sign a UFA, but if you use the 7th pick, you can get the one you want without bidding. Best chance or finding a "starter" that late in the draft. There's also Tommy Togiai, Justin Hilliard & Shaun Wade are candidates to be the annual Buckeye. I'd go with Jabril Cox here.
snarkster
Stains take UC's James Hudson. One I would have considered.
snarkster
Cam Sample, DE, Tulane Tape looks good and may add some versatility along the DL. I'll take it.
snarkster
OL - not as imposing as some would've liked, but should be best OL since Pollock was last here HOPKINS HILL SPAIN CARMAN SU'A-FILO ADENIJI WILLIAMS REIFF JOHNSON SMiTH PRICE * * May hinge on whether Hopkins is ready for Opening Game TE ' Moss/ Wells OK for camp depth, but could still see a waiver pickup UZOMA SAMPLE MOSS WELLS WR - elite starters, would like a better #5 option CHASE HIGGENS BOYD TATE THOMAS MORGAN QB - don't even want to think of Geaux not being ready BURROWS ALLEN RB - Patrick could push Evans for the last spot MIXON PERINE WILLIAMS EVANS PATRICK DL - looks to have gotten quite healthy. If there's a camp injury and Geno's healthy/available, wouldn't rule out a return READER SHELVIN OGUNJOBI DANIELS WREN SAMPLE (Swing guy) HUBBARD HENDRICKSON KAREEM OSSAI (LB?) HUBERT LB -least imposing unit on team. Would like to see vet (Byers?) or UFA competition added. WILSON PRATT DAVIS'GAITHER BAILEY JONES DB - surprised they didn't add a young CB. Comp is between Apple, Brown, Davis, Lewis & Rose for last two CB slots. WAYNES HILTON AWUZIE PILLIPS APPLE BROWN DAVIS LEWIS ROSE BELL BATES WILSON ALLEN ST - LOVE having an anti-Bullock MCPHERSON HUBER HARRIS SUMMATION: While I do think they've done a good job solidifying both sides of the LoS, that wouldn't preclude me from trying to sign Trai Turner and either Ryan Keegan or Justin Houston. More help is needed at LB. Never been that sold on Evans. I'd add a vet like Byers (hopefully a step up) and it would be nice to have a Vinnie Rey jack-of-all-trades guy. I'd try to upgrade the #5 WR spot and I'd bring in a vet TE for depth/competition.
