Throw in Lenvil Elliot too.  All those guys were fun to watch, but the next RB added to that list should be Pete Johnson.  Shame the best of his career came when the Bengals were awful.

Were awful?

Pete Johnson was a plowhorse when the made it to the Super Bowl..

If theyd run him in back of Munoz instead of a trick play on Montoya's side theyd have a World Championship..

Allrime Touchdown leader..70...

Very derserving after Cory Dillon..

Brooks is third..

I know it’s preferable to forget the Tiger Johnson and Homer Rice years, but they happened.  Pete wasted the first four years of his career on those teams.  They were awful.

The Kens, and it's not even close.

Although, to be honest, I would have had a first class with just Munoz and Paul Brown, and then do them in the next one.

The Bengals will announce the two former players joining Paul Brown and Anthony Munoz in the inaugural class in conjunction with a dedicated Ring of Honor home game later this year.

Just for fun:

Then:

Team Year Regular Season Post Season
Won Lost Ties Win % Finish Won Lost Win % Result
CIN 1978 4 7 0 .364 4th in AFC Central
CIN 1979 4 12 0 .250 4th in AFC Central
CIN Total 8 19 0 .296
Total[6] 8 19 0 .296

Now:

Team   Regular season Postseason
Year Won Lost Ties Win % Finish Won Lost Win % Result
CIN 2019 2 14 0 .125 4th in AFC North
CIN 2020 4 11 1 .281 4th in AFC North

Ickey. Gave more than he got. Honorable.

I remember when the Bengal drafted our Elbert. They really wanted Chris Spielman, but he was taken just before. This was way before the non-stop mock draft era...where everyone’s mother’s maiden name is known. But this guy out of UNLV...who the devil is he?

One magical half year. For that alone, he should be there.
