Raider game in Vegas

Recommended Posts

Keeping with you travelers to Vegas in spirit,

I plan to go to Cincinnati's Hard Rock Casino

downtown before going home and watching the game.

Belterra on Kellogg is a money pit... Let The Gambler Beware.

Eddie Van Halen's Porsche, Nikki Sixx's kick ass custom motorcycle,

stage costumes from all four members of KISS, Alice Cooper's leather jacket,

two Cincinnati Bengals season ticket holder, Bootsy Collins, stage costumes,

an Isley Brother velvet stage costume, an Elvis suit, two Elton John suits

with odd crusty stains on the lapel, a Devo cheap yellow jumpsuit stage costume and flower pot hat,

and The Holy Grail... a 1940 Hank Williams Sr Gibson SJ guitar in front of which you must kneel

and bow saying "We're not worthy".

For those of you lucky ducks who are going, have fun, stay safe and bring us home a winner.

Listened to alot of Cincinnati's own  Eisley Bros hits thru the yrs..

Ernest Eisley was a great guitarist and idolized Hendrix who lived with the Eisley family for awhile.....

Listen to  "Who's that lady" as a reference...

Aware of that, Lincoln Heights own.

The absolutely amazing thing about them is their career spanned decades

starting in the mid 60's with "Shout" and the group evolved into the disco era

and beyond.  One brother was hit by an ice cream truck and killed.

Ernie Isley must have been a little kid when they started.

They started as The Squires and headlined the fantastic Sunday teen

dances at the now long gone Castle Farms aka The Hoodlum Hops

hosted by lunatic DJ Ron Britain who was a hop head junkie long

before it was cool.  Many stories about him and his teen key club

night club in Clifton called Club Tulu (for Tulu Babies and Chico Buddy Buddies)

that served non alcoholic concoctions that were the basis of cocktails (imagine that),

just add the gin, vodka, rum or bourbon you smuggled in.  Screaming hot teener sluts

and Ron would show up for the pick of the litter.  And did he ever... the place was surreal.

He was supposedly the model for Johnny Fever in WKRP but Johnny Fever was not

even close to being hyper psycho enough.

Ron moved his show and act to Chicago where he probably went to jail for 150 counts

of contributing and pedo addiction but he was one truly bizarre dude far before his

time.  Or anyone else's for that matter.

Long live Mr Moo Cow and Rose Bully Bully.
