Good

Sam Hubbard ..got a new contract and he's playing up to it...non stop motor.

Vonn Bell making tackles and allways thumping..

Higgins..6-8 catches..

Mixon..ran and caught well...

Spain mauling or opening gaps on run plays..

Bad....

Adenijji is not a power side lineman.

Backup LT.LG .

He was overpowered most of the day...

Ogunjobi run defense...play Hill more!

Apple...ugg

Bates...quiet game..hes not having a great season and its gonna cost him bigtime in next contract..

Burrow...just too many mistakes .

In his defense he throws under immense pressure damn near every

time...allmost brutal to watch.

Ugly....Taylor and Annarumo's playcalling and schemes..

Just wtf does Brian Callahan do??

Sorry, guys... I think too much love for Mixon the runner.

13 carries for 64 yards.

One carry was for 21 yards making 12 for 43. 3.5 without the one run.

I think there was another for 11.  Here it is, 4:10 in the first quarter 11 yard run.

That makes 11 for 32,  2.9 yards per carry without those two plays.

Just too many times he runs into the line and falls down.

Yeah, no blocking but ...

Trying to fit this in somewhere along with the "cracked our code" thread.

We are way too predictable and either key the opposing D or they know what's coming

from the way we line up etc.

One particular Mixon run yesterday showed on the scoreboard showed a mass of humanity

where he was supposed to run.  They knew what and where it was coming.  Fine and dandy.

However, the view from behind the play showed a hole bigger than Grand Canyon two steps to

the left from where the Clowns had rushed to where he was supposed to run.  And he did.

A quick cut left and he would have still been running.  It was like "well, the playbook says I'm supposed

to run here so I will even though there are ten players from both teams there."

His decision making on the fly stinks sometimes.

Bad and Ugly

Eli Apple has been bad since he has been in the league.

I have no idea why Lou A keeps putting him in man coverage.

He simply isn't fast enough and he doesn't have great technique.

Keeping up the long tradition of

Rod "Toast" Jones,

Third Down and Ray (Griffin)

and long forgotten

Scott "White Boy on the Corner" Perry.

Extra credit going way back for Fletcher "The Human Cape" Smith

who was so light he would hit receivers and esp big running backs from

behind and be carried to the goal line flapping in the wind.

HSH is correct -- I took a lot of stats in college and grad school.  An outlier (in this case a really good long run) will greatly affect the average when you crunch the numbers, and can lead a person to draw the wrong conclusion about how the game (or whatever) is generally going.

Carry on.

Can't believe you missed 3rd and Dre (Kirkpatrick)

I think credit where credit is due and add Drew Sample to The Good.

He caught everything thrown to him, God love him, unlike other higher profile players.

Lol..Drew Sample is a wasted pick, this guy shouldn't have been drafted and the only thing keeping him the league is his draft position.

He wasn't in man coverage on that 60 yard TD. His BFF and the reason he's on the team, Von Bell, was supposed to be in coverage as well but he jumped a crossing route instead of playing  his assignment.

Playing hero ball will get you every time.

I just watched the All 22 with they said the same thing. Apple is not great, but he's kind of becoming the scape goat for a few around here.

I actually commented that the safety left him dry, but I thought it was Bates at the time.

Watching Apple whiff tackles doesn't help either.

Thanks for the clarification.

I have to stream the games on my computer here in Houston, so I rarely get the chance to see any instant replays.
