Some thoughts

1.There are players at T, G and C in this Free Agency period but it is absolutely loaded at Guard.

2. I could see them going with Spain and Carman at the guards and trying to upgrade at C and RT. I am not sure Free Agency bears this out as the right choice.

3. Those super young guys look really enticing at Guard: Daniels, Williams, Corbett

4. The Cowboys might not have the money to retain Williams.

5. The Rams might not have the money to retain Allen and Corbett.

6. You could see Daniels wanting to go to a winner. (He is versatile and has played C and both Gs)

7. You could see Norwell wanting out of Jacksonville and he is from Cincinnati.

8. It's frustrating that we drafted Carman over Cosmi. Carman might be a stud but he is a project. Cosmi is starting at RT for the Redskins and playing well.

9. Is a year of Kelce coming back to his college roots to play with a playoff team worth a thought?

Its frustrating we drafted Carman over Creed Hunphrey... yeah, I know.  My personal dead horse and now ancient history.

Do you like the idea of bring back Reiff for a year, cheap, for grooming and maybe back up later in the year?

Yes to resigning Reiff, I'd even go 2 yrs, just to let the younger guys get more experience

yes to Spain, he's earned it.

I like the 3 guys  MW mentioned, one should be available

I also think Karras might hit the market, Pats don't pay older G's like another org I know.

I'd also love if they robbed the Ratbirds of Bozeman, the double benefit signing.

Some great intangibles:

Cincy is a place FAs want to come to

Cincy has CAP

Cincy has arguably one of the best line coaches.

My guess is they will have a minimalist offseason, focused on re-signing 2021 Bengals. Bates will be tagged. Jonah Williams is eligible for a contract extension and may get it this year. So re-signing Spain and Reiff is very much a possibility. I'd go for Allen, the center from the Rams but the Bengals won't. Unless Linderbaum falls to us, we'll probably see Trey Hopkins out there again next season. We'll cut Waynes to pay for Bates tag or new deal, and draft a CB early.

That's how we roll.

Im thinking they sign a vet center..

draft a RT regardless of Reiff..

I think you are likely correct. I think they go big corner, big OL (No idea who) and then just our own bros and 1 year deals.

I'm thinking they'll address the OL this off-season in pretty much the same manner that they addressed the DL last off-season.

Even Mike Brown can see how close they are right now.

That would be great, but I’m not sure there is that kind of talent out there.

Karras would be a good fit.  Think he plays center as well as guard.

Well did you think Larry Ogunjobi and BJ Hill were some great talent acquisitions last off-season?

They don't have to be household names in order to have big impacts.

The talent is out there to find, just have to use due diligence in finding it....much like last year.

Ogunjobi was quite a talent.  Underappreciated in Cleveland on a stacked DL.  Reader was the season before, but I don't think there are any Readers out there on OL.  Too valuable and rare.

The Bengals can certainly improve with FA, considering the dreck they are working with currently.

You also have to consider a certain amount of luck with FAs.  It's like hiring for any job.  The potential employee and their agent always put their best foot forward.  You never know for sure until you see them work.

I saw a mock draft that had us picking a CB because, they said, “the Bengals really miss WJ III”. Tells you how much some of these draft clowns actually know.

Idiots, LMAO. They obviously don`t know shit about the Bengals. No one misses that guy. Not when we have Chido and Hilton for probably the same money. That was a deal letting him walk.

I'm hoping there is at least one (or two) OL who might want to come to Cincinnati (at the right price of course) just to block for Burrow.  More than one of last year's defensive FA's cited Joe as at least a partial reason for choosing the Bengals.  After THE Franchise's showing this season (as well as those of his weapons) I think the chances are such incentives have improved.  I think he has a chance to be that kind of draw.

To me, you want continuity even when you're talking about a terrible offensive line. Quinton Spain is a must re-sign for me. Targets in free agency for me include James Daniels, Ben Jones, Morgan Moses, Brian Allen and Austin Corbett.

I like Daniels and the last two on that list, but prefer to stay away from guys 30+ years old.

I'm not worried about a guy who is 30 years old on the line in today's NFL. I am also hoping the Bengals are looking at 2-3 year contract guys which will be mixed in with prospects like Adeniji, Carman and ideally some solid draft picks. In particular, I'd like a veteran Center to tie them all together. Ben Jones fits the bill and comes from a wide zone blocking scheme which is what the Bengals run, I believe.
