Keeping our enemies close

The trend of free-agent pass-catchers wanting to move to Los Angeles to play football with Oregon legend Justin Herbert is continuing.

This past weekend, former Seattle Seahawks tight end Gerald Everettannounced his signing with the Chargers, joining the LA offense that is looking to stack the deck in order to compete in what is a brutally tough AFC West division.

Everett is the second big pass-catcher to sign with the Chargers this offseason, with wide receiver Mike Williams agreeing to a new deal with LAC and choosing to stay in the vicinity of Herbert.

Mayfield is going into his guaranteed contract 5th year season. So the Browns don't save any money by releasing him, they have to trade him to get his salary off their cap. Seattle seems like the only interested team but they aren't going to pay much for Baker. Maybe it will be like the Osweiler trade where the Browns have to pay a team to take his contract.

Oh yeah - Just trying to think who is legit in the NFC.  4-5 guys maybe?

Brady, Stafford and Rodgers for the NFC. Also Dak with the cowboys, so that's four. KYLER Murray's probably the last one decent...the other NFC quarterbacks are not that good...

(Speculation)

Baker Mayfield a Squeeler?

Actually, I'd like it a lot.  Would make the ol' Division a lot more amusing.

Dunno... just a bit mirth inducement in the middle of a train wreck week at work.
