Was looking at salaries and team payroll for the 49's in 1991vwith Montana and Rice on board.

49's

Team salary....40mil

Montana.........3.5mil

Rice.................1.0mil

Thats roughly 10% of team payroll..

Bengals..

2024 cap is at 260mil

Jb....................55mil

Chase..............28mil

Thats roughly 30% of team payroll..

30% and both under rookie deals. It's imperative that we keep both too. Cap is going up but so will their contract expectations.

That 30% isnt rook deals..

Thats  2024 exoectations ..

So is 30% for 2 players too much of a load on a team?

All of this actuarial salary prognosticating reminds me of a joke an actuary told me years ago:

“Two actuaries are duck hunting. They see a duck in the air and they both shoot. The first actuary’s shot is 20 feet wide to the left. The second actuary’s shot is 20 feet wide to the right. The actuaries give each other high fives, because on average they shot it.”

Ah ok got ya.

I can't say, it does seem big but who knows.

Compared to the great 49er teams

that allocated but 10% of team salary

to Montana and Rice its high.

This new NFL team  structure seems to be unbalanced but they work around it

somehow...

Stealers new way to cut players from the team?

Really? WTF? We're talking about a young man's life! I hate the Stealers org as much as anybody, but this is neither the time or the place?

I hate the Stealers, but wow this is just terrible.

I hate the Squeelers as well more than any other team in all of sports, but the situation is still tragic. Plus he wasn't even really a "Stealer" for all intents and purposes, as he played at Washington and Ohio State longer.

The unfairness of the universe figures that if a Pittsburgh QB was to die in car accident, it wouldn't be the bathroom rapist, but a young guy just trying to find his way.
