You misconstrued the question…not surprising.

A simple question of: Who/Where? You know, sort of asking a thought-provoking where do the other pieces go type of question? Not the quality of the other pieces—or where they were acquired—just where is the best fit?

A little clearer now?

Assuming for now that Carman wins the LG job, I'd think something like this:

LT- Fred Johnson

LG- D'Ante Smith

C - Trey Hill

RG - Hakeem Adeniji

RT- Isaiah Prince

Quinton Spain returning to compete with Carman at LG would be nice.

Plus, I would assume they draft 1 or 2 more to come in and compete.

If Spain is back and they draft a Center or Guard in the first 4 or 5 rounds, that would free D'Ante Smith to move to backup Jonah Williams.

Was my thinking as well. The experienced pieces at the positions they played (for the most part).

Smith may be the Swiss Army Knife type like Brian Blados and Kozerski were all those years ago.

One takeaway from the La’el Collins press conference: He’s excited to play for the Bengals because he sees a better shot to win a Super Bowl in Cincinnati than he had in Dallas.

The most tangible example of the changed perception among players about the Bengals franchise.

Collins on Cappa and Karras: We were talking about our favorite run plays. It just so happens we love the same run plays... I can't wait to get into the first fit with [Cappa] and just move people out of the way.
