The dumb bitch then went on to say defund the FBII

But without a hint of irony you talk about defund the police and her head would explode

She probably gets a headache trying to make change from a dollar.  If Obama would only claim to have held his breath underwater for 15 minutes these people would all go drown themselves.

No, never. But in this case I was agreeing with you.

My mistake, was kinda vague.

What makes a self-proclaimed patriot die for someone that is clearly a Russian mole?  Amazing that they compromised a President & got away with it.  Any consequences now will stop well short of Putin, the FSB or Russia.  Makes Aldrich Ames look like small potatoes.

Im a conservative..

Im not prone to favor a party come election time but rather the candidate for Potus..

I recognized the hatred for Trump that liberals cant get over..

I don't want a society based on socialism..

Its never worked anywhere sans Sweden in the world at any time.

I want less government authority not more.

Im not a hater of either party but

the fanatics in the democratic party

I'm going to try and respond to this respectfully but there's a lot to unpack here

What does "Conservative" mean to you? Honest question.  The current Republicans aren't fiscally conservative (look at the massive debt increase under Trump.).  Morally conservative? How does that fit with paying to bang pornstars behind the pregnant wife's back or ripping off a pediatric cancer charity - among so many other things..  What are you trying to conserve exactly?

If you think everyone that dislikes Trump is a liberal it's no wonder you guys seem to think liberals are everywhere, hiding under your bed.   As for me, I'll "get over" Trump when he's no longer relevant to my life or potential future.  He can go back to doing reality TV or whatever nonsense. Reasonable?

Hate to tell ya buddy but that ship sailed long ago.  Ever heard of Social Security? It's right there in the name.  You plan on sending yours back? Of course that's only one of many examples. Do you think we should only spend our tax money on the military or what?  Again I think we're not defining our terms very well.

That's..  simply not true.  Most developed nations are closer to socialism than we are.. and most developed nations have fewer people incarcerated, better education, lower infant mortality, fewer citizens living in poverty..   What is it you're afraid of?

You mean like letting people get married despite sexual orientation, or letting a woman make her own reproductive choices?  Yeah, I agree.

The "fanatics" in the Democratic party want things like affordable health care.  The fanatics in the Republican party rant about things like Jewish Space Lasers,  mass shootings being a hoax, COVID not being real or JFK, Jr. literally rising from the dead.  Once again, I think we have very different definitions of the word "fanatic".   At any rate statements like that make it hard for me to take you seriously.

I don't know T-Dub.  I hear what you are saying but if the Democrat Party establishment hadn't fucked Bernie Sanders in 2016 and again in 2020 I am not sure there would be a "Donald Trump" issue in politics.  Trumps career in government would have been over before it started.

Some truth there but I don't think any of this is unique to Trump.  If not him it'd be someone else.

It's not Republicans that I hate, I have a number of friends that are Republican that we simply disagree but still love each other

I used to feel that way but lately with the likes of MTG or Boebert etc etc it's kind of hard to find any common ground.  It's not that I hate them but how do you hold a normal conversation with a crazy person? Some of them will be quick to protest, "oh I don't support Trump, I don't support Greene" which is great but then.. how are they Republicans?  It's like saying you're a Catholic but don't believe in God or the Immaculate Conception.

One of the guys in my men's group works for congresswoman Miller-Meeks of Iowa, he and I a great friends. He even got me a shirt from the Field of Dreams game that he got to go to when he was doing some campaign stuff with her during the state fair time.

Privately most of them hate him, or are at lest exhausted with him, but the electorate is so whipped up on him that opposing him gets you what it got Cheney.

That's a problem.

It's a huge problem because they'd rather support a traitor than risk their own comfort.

I’m not fond of what the Democrats are doing right now, but at the same time, I can’t vote or take seriously any Republican who is maintaining that Trump won the election, or any Trump supporter, really. Here in Ohio for the Senate race, we have JD Vance, who was an anti-Trumper until he got his endorsement, and is cringey for a million other reasons, and Tim Ryan, who at least tries to work with the Republicans (and gets criticized by the radical left for doing so.) TBH, if Matt Dolan had won the Republican primary, I would probably vote for him in November over Ryan.

I think a lot of the reasonable congresspeople on both sides, who want to work together for the common good, are drowned out by the louder and more radical voices on both sides and feel like they have to fall in line or lose their seat.

It’s sad 😔.

My thing is I'm not really seeing a whole lot of radicalism from the Democrats.   Extending basic human rights to gay people or making healthcare affordable do not strike me as particularly radical ideas.

For my part I wish the Democratic party was half as progressive or liberal as they're accused of being.  As a party it looks like fairly centrist corporate neolibs to me.  People call Obama a radical leftist and I have no idea what they're basing that on..  Nancy Pelosi a radical? The Clintons? Really?

Some would debate that Obama and the Clintons are not liberal enough for today’s Democratic Party. But some of the ideas that are being thrown out there, especially about some of the green initiatives, are unrealistic. Do you think California is going to have the electrical infrastructure in place by 2035 to ban gasoline car sales? Do you think the rest of the country would be ready for a similar initiative? My sister recently experimented with driving her EV from Virginia to Cincinnati and what is normally a 7 hour trip turned into an overnight trip because West Virginia doesn’t have any fast charging stations. And what’s going to power these electric stations? I’m all for clean air and I believe that the threat of global warming is real, but I just don’t think that getting away from gas and oil won’t happen for a long time.

I think they could, definitely.  It's not anything crazy technical, basically adding another gas pump.

Now, with the petro lobby fighting it tooth & nail? Maybe not.

More likely as the deadline approaches they kick the can down the road for another 5-10 years.

Still..  That's radical leftism? California potentially banning gasoline vehicles over a decade from now?

Again I seem to have a very different definition of "radical".
