For the people who have based their whole identity around him there's no off-ramp. Without him they go back to being the miserable, hateful fucking losers they've always been. With Trump, they're miserable hateful fucking losers but with a purpose.

There are others that were willing to hold their nose because they thought he'd make eggs cheaper, or whatever fucking nonsense.
