OTAs/Mini-camps and other post draft stuff up to camp

Not sure why Ollie thinks it's a leak ... The league announced it this morning on GMFB, starting at 7am ET this morning.  Lol.

Oh, there's been a "leak" that the Niners will be exiled to horrible, horrible Mexico City to play the Cardinals... Best tell Ollie.

2) Lack of Penalties

It was reported that before every play Zac has an analytics specialist give him the % of success for his play and what the opponent might do defensively etc. So they clearly believe that they can gain slight edges in this way. The lack of penalties fits right in with that data driven approach. And after last season, it's hard to argue with the results.

Since all players in the NFL have near equal physical talent, it's the other little things (team cohesion, maturity, intelligence, scheme) that separate success from failure.

I would like to know what goes into their analytics.  The stuff you hear people talk about are league wide percentages.  Those aren't worth squat, IMO.  For example...let's say on average a NFL team coverts a fourth and two X% of the time based upon field position.  Would you really think last year's Bengals were average at converting fourth and short?  Absolutely not.  They were way worse.  The team you're playing matters a lot too.

I guess what I'm saying is I hope the Bengals have way better analytics with a bunch more specific variables than what you hear quoted on TV.  That stuff is entertainment value only.

That game is going to be such a fantastic party. If there is away game to target for a trip, it is that one.

OMG, yes.  Even a regular game in NOLA along with everything else there is to offer is fantastic.
