Keeping our enemies close 2022 season

About the Bills hype.  Taxpayers are grumbling about paying $850 million of the $1.4B cost of the new stadium being built.  The "nice owners" billionaire Pegula's are scrambling to chip in $350 million after threatening the fans to move the Bills to Austin, Texas.

What better way to soothe those NY state and Eerie county taxpayers than hyping the Bills as probable Super Bowl winners.

Isn't that how the NFL works?

That comes out to: $600 million from the state, and $250 million from Eerie County.

The state assembly happily approved the referendum:

“The Assembly approved the $600 million state funding by a 95-49 vote, with the Senate passing it 39-23. More than $400 million of that money will come from gambling revenue, according to The News, while roughly $180 million will come from the capital projects portion of the New York state budget.”

And, about the Pegula’s generosity:

“The NFL in March separately approved a $200 million loan to the Pegulas for construction of the stadium”

And Eerie County:

“Erie County contribution. The county intends to use $75 million from the county's year-end budget surplus for 2021 to cover a portion of this cost. The remainder of the county share would be borrowed.”

And take a look at the ongoing costs to be shouldered by the state:

That’s entertainment.

wish he could have played like that in the SB...GD IT. Rams either looked like utter shit or the Bills are just that good.

That was a total trap game for LA.  All the Super Bowl hoopla and a hungry, angry team just waiting to kick your ass.  I don't bet football, but betting on the Rams last night would have been foolish.

Combination of both. Rams should have put up a better fight, but the Bills have the best overall roster in the league. Of course they probably did last year as well, and still didn't make it to the Super Bowl. But Von Miller makes them better this year than last. The Bills never seem to stop adding talent, and they don't usually lose the talent already on the roster to free agency.
