|High School Harry|
3 hours ago, Montana Bengal said: he O.J. Howard dream is officially over for the Cincinnati Bengals. After hosting Howard for a visit Wednesday, the veteran tide end visited with the Houston Texanstoday. Now, Howard has agreed to a deal with the Texans, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. So, what exactly happened? After all, when news broke that Howard was visiting the Bengals, the expectation was a deal would get done assuming the visit went well. However, that was before the Bengals claimed tight end Devin Asiasi off of waivers from the New England Patriots. While the Bengals still hosted Howard for a visit, Asiasi joining the roster likely led to Howard and/or the Bengals cooling off on getting a deal done. Kingspoint
Jason Peters was activated from the practice squad tonight, starting at LT for the Cowboys and is dominating. Bengals should have signed him and moved Jonah Williams inside to LG. Bengals also should have made that trade for Jaelen Reagor of the Eagle because Michael Thomas and every other Receiver after Boyd totally sucks. Have said for two years now that Williams has no business blocking in space in the NFL. Might make a decent guard, but he's no tackle (especially a left one). He can't stop the bull rush.

Figured it was one of two possibilities with him: either a decent LT dragged down by a bad OL group, or a bad LT hiding in the weeds of a worse OL. Unfortunate that it's looking to be the latter. Kingspoint
Christian McCaffery is available and the Panthers are willing to take on part of his 2023 salary to make a deal work. The contract: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/carolina...caffery-21749/ The acquisition of Marshall Faulk is what made "The Greatest Show on Turf" work. Bengals have all the pieces except for the Runningback. What the Panthers want are something the Bengals' Mike Brown has never ever been willing to give up....draft picks, and it's going to take at least one 1st Rounder. You have to trade Mixon away the same day to keep the peace in the lockerroom. But, what an upgrade!!!! The rest of the AFC would be scared to death with Chase, Higgins, Boyd, Hurst and McCaffery, all getting throws from Burrow. Get 'er done!

sparky151
The Athletic has a piece saying that Huber is on thin ice and likely to be replaced before too long by Chrisman. It also quotes Simmons saying Adomaitis needs to take a little heat off his snaps, especially on place kicks.

If not for being the holder for McFearsome he might be in deeper doo doo. A mysterious muscle pull and we do have an open spot on the 53.
