Collins - 119.8 5. Jonah - 112.2 - So is Volson the teams "best OL"? - The scores are inverted. The best at run blocking are the worst at pass and vice versa. - Should Jonah be benched? -GoBengals- Posted October 1, 2022 Report Share Posted October 1, 2022 man the "so and so is the best player in the league at blocking on sundays in the eastern time zone, while wearing pink underpants against a defense starting a safety from the middle east or russia" unfortunately the shitty ass linemen are also on the field during NON traditional pass sets. so take your traditional pass set stats and shove them. volson fucking sucks. he isnt quick enough or strong enough and those arent things he can fix quickly. he may get to serviceable next year.... -GoBengals- Posted October 1, 2022 Report Share Posted October 1, 2022 his only "good" game was against dallas who decided to just gang rape jonah leaving Volson to be late to help play after play after play while jonah had 2 guys lined up in front or outside of him,. we are playing worse DL and pass rush talent and he is gettin worse. he is trending at 12-13 penalties, and 12-13 sacks on the year... he isnt good and he isnt playing well. Addenijji isn't showing me much thus far but may be time to go to him soon. Problem is regardless of Volson's play JB feels they're starting to jell so I dont see a change right now. You must watch different games than I do. It seems Volson is your new Dalton. Williams gets beat regularly by damn near every DE. Even when he doesn't give up a sack you can see Burrow watching his blind side and getting rid of the ball because he sees Williams getting beat. The guy is not good. Yes, sometimes they overload on the Bengals left side. Works every time. The line isn't good enough to handle a regular four man rush much less odd looks. Blitzes Joe reads pretty well, but overloads are a disaster for these guys. It's a shame that a fourth round pick has to be pressed into action so early because all the other guys they've drafted over the past couple years are worse!
