I posted the Bengals would have their way with NO..

After the debacle tonight anything could happen...

Are we that bad without Chase??

Looked like it..

It's Cleveland, they seem to have Taylor's number.

One thing for Taylor to consider...Make Chris Evans a WR.  He made a very difficult catch last night.  Seems to be able to get open.  He doesn't seem to be in their plans as a RB, and the rest of these guys don't seem to be able to either get open or catch the damn ball.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A former Bengals All-Pro selection is returning to Paycore Stadium to serve as the Ruler of the Jungle.

Adam “Pacman” Jones was announced by the Bengals as this week’s honorary leader for pregame festivities.

I wonder if he will bring Chris Henry's kids with him.

Wow.  With all of that it is shocking how many people from Ohio move here to NC.  Maybe it's the good jobs, great weather, beaches, mountains, etc.

Don’t take it too personally…my brother Amish has one of these for every “enemy enclave”.

You should see one of his originals for Cleveland. 😄

Oh , I don’t.  It is hilarious how many Ohioans are here in NC though. Many of us joke, “Ohio, It’s a Great Place to be From.”

Also, those of us from the Raleigh area don’t like to be lumped with the NASCAR bunch in Charlotte.  A mini Cincinnati vs Cleveland thing.

Williams: Predictions for Cincinnati Bengals vs. Carolina Panthers

NFL prediction: Cincinnati Bengals (4-4) vs. Carolina Panthers (2-6), 1 p.m., Sunday, FOX

This looked like an easy win for the Bengals entering the season. Not anymore.

We’ve seen enough of the Bengals to know that there aren’t any for-sure victories on the remaining schedule. The mounting injuries and offensive problems point to the Bengals continuing to be up and down.

Carolina deserves a little credit. The embattled Panthers have been competitive the last two weeks, despite firing coach Matt Rhule and trading star running back Christian McCaffrey last month.

The Panthers have been sparked by two players who originally weren’t expected to play big roles this season — quarterback P.J. Walker and running back D’Onta Foreman.

Injuries to Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold have forced the Panthers to start Walker, who played in the XFL in 2020. Walker will be backed up by Mayfield, the former Browns QB who has a 6-1 career record vs. the Bengals. Don’t be surprised to see Mayfield if Walker struggles.

Foreman stepped up to rush for 118 yards in a surprising 18-point win over Tampa Bay on Oct. 23. He then rushed for another 118 yards and three touchdowns in last week’s overtime loss at Atlanta. Could Foreman be in for another big game?

The Bengals have struggled against the run without injured defensive tackle D.J. Reader. Cincinnati has allowed an average of 165.5 yards rushing the last four games.

The Bengals can neutralize the Panthers’ rushing attack by getting off to a fast start on offense. Cincinnati is 3-0 when the Bengals have scored first.

But the offense was inept on Monday, the first game without receiver Ja’Marr Chase (hip). The Bengals have no offensive identity without Joe Burrow’s favorite target. There is no quick fix.

Carolina has nothing to lose. The pressure is building on the Bengals, as NFL fans are starting to wonder if last season's Super Bowl run was a fluke. The Bengals are the better team. They should be motivated after the Browns loss. And they should be determined to go into the bye week with a winning record.

Prediction: Bengals win, 24-21

Yay…

“The defensive backfield needs help, and it appears it may be getting some, as Eli Apple (hamstring) was a full participant in practice after being limited Wednesday. With Chidobe Awuzie lost for the season, Hilton banged up and Tre Flowers (hamstring) not practicing again, depth in the defensive backfield is a real concern. Apple looks to be trending toward playing Sunday.”

Bengals CB problems get worse -- Mike Hilton out vs. Panthers

Friday, the Cincinnati Bengals announced starting slot corner Mike Hilton won’t be able to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.

It’s a finger issue for Hilton, who hasn’t missed a game since coming over to the Bengals via free agency in 2021.

And it’s a major negative development for a Bengals secondary that just lost No. 1 corner Chidobe Awuzie for the season. Backup Eli Apple was out last week and a tentative start this weekend. Backup Tre Flowers is out.

Rookies Dax Hill and Cam Taylor-Britt, the former a safety, both got beat badly in emergency duty one week ago and will be shoved into action again.

Hilton, besides being just a generally superb inside corner, was the rock the team could count on while names go in and out on the boundary. Instead, against the PJ Walker-led Panthers, it will be Jalen Davis getting the start.
